This Bond film is very different I am still not sure. I will give it another shot for a revenge flick but I just don't know. I had 2 old dudes behind me talking and yelling in my ear. I figure these guys are going to the special hell. Then another older couple I'm 42 sat in front of me because their view was blocked. Man I was the fifth one in on a Friday matinee finally I justed moved of course another bald #*&$ raises his arms in front of me. Look I need to watch it again. This one is real, gritty, down, and dirty. Alot of tuff scenes. Not a bad film but is it a Bond film. My favorite is Goldfinger. 64 Aston Martin shows up like a costar. Luv the scenes from other Bond movies like the beach make out in Dr No. I think the dynamics are as powerful as the film From Russia With Love. Not alot of gadgets for this James. Fast pace action. Agent of the free world doing what has to be done. Its gritty. I see Mr White is back like a bad dream. I thought we got rid of him in Diamonds are Forever dog gone scorpion venom. The Mach 2 in that one second favorite car. Jill ST John still my favorite Bond babe. Alhough Diana Rigg and Pussey Galore are in my top 3. This new James Bond is no.6 so I'll rate at 4th best. He still has his trusty Walther PPK 380 auto. Somethings don't change. He used a berreta originally MI 6 replaced it after it jammed and 007 got shot in the shoulder from Dr No. Well I probably go see it again. I will buy the DVD Bond purest ya know. Was he betrayed or saved the cliffhangar for the next film.

Do you expect me talk Blofeld. No Mr Bond I expect you do die.

As a very young kid I started watching James Bond. I didn't get all of it but I liked Sean Connery.

I liked Roger Moore because I loved "The Saint" on the BBC and I loved Pierce Brosnan (sp?) because he is....well......Pierce Brosnan.

I read all the books in high school and really liked the mysteries.

This movie was so actiony, no charm, or humor (which the books have) I just couldn't get into it.

Husband, loved it. I think the actor who plays Bond is good, he just was not well written.

It wasn't as bad as "Octypussy" but it was pretty boring.

That's it no charm. Sean Connery is the best was a sexist but charming. Rodger Moore dealt with the feminest of the 70's so had a touch more humor. Pierce more of an action hero. All three were license to kill accurate and deadly. Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig are more stone killers. George Lazenby well he did bed Diana Rigg meow. The 80's films had old bonds or just slow stories.

To my knowledge you've never had me James.

I thought it was absolutely fantastic. My sister and I are both big fans of the books and felt that the film kept the important essentials of the book while updating it in a very smooth way. I could never stand the way the recent Bond movies played the series for a laugh - the books, or at least most of them (Casino Royale, Live And Let Die, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, You Only Live Twice) were so much darker. Hence, I liked the approach as much as the result.

I agreed - Graigs Bond wasn't the suave charmer with a gun that all the others were - but he was absolutly convincing as a somewhat soulless bastard capable of killing anyone at the command of his country, and he actually looked like he was capable of doing all the stuff that he was doing (and that he suffered when it went wrong. Much love to Connery and the others, but up until this one i've never ever taken 'James Bond' seriously.
And after that scene I know a lot more guys are. though he was back in action, so to speak, remarkably quickly!

I even liked the song - but then i've always loved Chris Cornell - but i know several of my friends are mourning the passing of the dancing girls.

Maybe Daniel will get the swim shorts out and dance a bit for the next opening sequence.

Isn't sanity really a one trick pony, anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy...ooh hoo hoo hoo... the skys the limit!

It's a fine film. It didn't feel like a bond film which is to its credit.

However Bond is still very difficult to take seriously - especially since Austin Powers come out, but Craig did a superb job.

For once though the best part of the film is nothing to do with the action, but with the poker playing.

I thought it was a great film.

It's virtually impossible to compare to another Bond film, because it is completely unlike any other Bond film made. It was the Bond from the books - gritty, dark, able to get hurt - and I, for one, loved it. I hope this is the start of a new era for Bond films.

This is the only Bond film I've seen all the way through. I have read 'Live and let Die', but didn't take to it, It seemed to me like all he wanted to do was have sex with people. It was a good film, spectacular action scenes, but I did have some problem following the rather thin plot.

The one thing I don't understand is how people can say that Daniel Craig is a hunk. Personal opinion: He looks like a potato crossed with a monkey. Seriously.

Unfortuneately, this hi-larious comment has been cancelled by the F** Network.
