Is Firefly dead?

At this point my hope is that a new crew with new agendas will be the subject of a different 'verse tale. With the cramming of 3 seasons of firefly into one movie, I left the theater saying that the series was done as far as the Serenity crew was concerned. I still cannot understand why Joss burned all those bridges. He could have made the film about another subject prior to the Pilot episode perhaps....or something that occurs just after OIS...allowing for the posibility of a season 2. But NOPE, he had to take everything to the extreme.
There may be prequil comics, or mayhap a comic told in the middle of things, (Like Those Left Behind), but as far as a season 2 firefly. It ain't gonna be there. And it's so gorram sad.
I do hope that there will be some sort of comic explaining the details of how Patience came about shooting Mal over salvage rights. I'd also like to see at least one tale set during the unification War, perhaps showing us what Book was doing at that time.

Everything has been asked a hundred times. Check the old threads they get asked again and again. That's ok. There is a new firefly series in preproduction which will be out for spring. Its for the porn crowd I am the director I just need a few more actresses. Looks like I'll double as the male characters.
