Extremely nit-picky one: In Bushwhacked, when Zoe says "Ship powered down on its own" there's no static-y clicking sound of the suit communicators turning on and off before and after she speaks, although the sound is present in all of her other lines while suited.

Yeah, actually, it does - or more specifically, it looks like someone who has naturally curly hair and has 'helped' it along to make the curls more perfect. I have a friend who has lovely, amazing curls naturally, and then she finishes it off by spiraling with a curling iron, to make them look neater. Hot rollers do the same thing for my own (curly) hair - take it from a messy curl to something like what Inara's looks like.

And both of us can wear it straight as Inara's was. So I think it'd /quite/ possible to have that change in looks naturally. It just takes a bit of patience with a straightening iron and the right hair products.

Actually, it's called excelsior. It's wood shavings. I use them as a decorative packing material in my busines. You're totally right, btw, just had to stick in my goat-herding professionalism.

Objects in Space was supposed to be BEFORE Trash, The Message & Heart of Gold. Joss, for his own reasons, wanted it moved to the end and even refilmed one scene to try to make it fit, but all the references to River in the 4 episodes are completely out of whack if OiS is put last and since the refilmed scene OiS doesn't fit anywhere now. I LOVE Firefly but what Joss did with OiS bugs the shit out of me!

I think Kaythryn is right. Alan Tudyk points out this same blooper on the commentary but when you watch that scene Jayne is checking out the crate that held Tracey's coffin and it's filled with hay.

Actually, from what I understand, OiS was supposed to air 14th, after HoG. However, Fox decided to air OiS before HoG was shown, which meant Joss had to reshoot the scene where Mal and Inara are talking about her leaving. The DVDs were done in the order originally intended.

Speaking of bloopers, a couple I noticed:

In Trash, when Wash is doing his "WHAT'S SHE DOING ON THIS SHIP?!" thing, you can see Kaylee/Jewel start cracking up. Probably wasn't done on purpose.

The other one is in Out of Gas, with the ship-wide "Life Support Failure" warning being repeated in Cantonese, rather than Mandarin. Unless Serenity was built and meant to be used in an area which was predominantly Cantonese, this wouldn't make sense.

Although it's possible it was on purpose, because remember they are all trying to 'play' Saffron and as Inara said at the end, not all of the crew's performances were that great. I thought both Alan Tudyk and Jewel Staite were trying to over-do it a little in that scene since Wash and Kaylee aren't supposed to be that great at the subterfuge thing.

"Probably wasn't done on purpose" is hardly a blooper. Actors "act", which means adding to the script when they feel it is necessary. The director left it in, so it's not a mistake.

What's wrong with Cantonese? Even if other messages on the ship were in Mandarin, I wouldn't call it a blooper. Different parts of the ship manufactured by different companies.

I just re-watched Heart of Gold and if you look carefully, as Burgess is backing out of the door with the baby and turns to point his laser gun towards the approaching Nandi, you can see he's holding a doll instead of a real baby (although there's a real baby before and after)...maybe it had to be re-shot and the/a baby wasn't available?
