The math is correct. And I'm not one to borrow trouble, but...
In keeping with my personal Hope for the best, plan for the worst; I hesitate to get overly excited lest we look tomorrow and find we've been stripped of most/all of those votes. Breaking 800 is a BIG deal, 900 & I'd be buying a round of drinks. Smashing beyond 1,200 without ever touching close to 850? Does that seem right?
Did someone find a way to get some major bonus votes in? Not that I'm expecting details here, but give us a heads-up please?

Yes, it has. On October 9, 2006 Lexx gained 2,134 votes. On October 10, 2006 Lexx lost 1,856 votes . They kept more than their average number of votes, but not near what they had apparently gained.
I do not know what kind of vote verification process is used by RichLabonte.net, but it appears that numbers that are too far out draw attention, and if fraud is detected it is corrected.
I encourage everyone to learn the rules of whatever game they are playing, and to walk right up to the edge of what is allowed. But when Shinanigans is called, make sure you know you are on the legal side of the line.
