I'll review it later, when I watch it again... but for a quick review.

Firefly is amazing. The Train Job was almost as good as Serenity (and in some ways better)

I am falling in love.

I hope a lot of people watched it.

Now, I wonder if Joss has stopped by yet...

I thought it was terrific. Better than I expected, and I thought I'd like it. They did labor a bit under the burden of introducing so many characters, but in general I thought it worked really well. I see a lot of potential, assuming that it's able to draw enough viewers.

I turned Firefly on tonight thinking it might well end up being another one of those sci-fi series where the commercial teasers are better than the show itself. Boy was I wrong! Happily so, too. I LOVE Firefly.

Saw it, thought it was decent. Felt like character introductions were blown through very quickly. Kind of wish we'd seen the original 2-hour pilot first. Still, an acceptable start.

Anyone think it's odd that Band-Aids are still being made 400 years from now?

Man, this show rocks! Joss has described it as "Stagecoach in space", but I'd describe it more as "Tombstone in space" (I am of course talking about the movie starring Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer). If I wasn't already a huge fan of Joss Whedon, this show would definitely have made me one. Because of Fox's decision not to air "Serenity", it gave those of us watching a feeling that these characters were already old friends (both literally and figuratively) and conveyed the sense that we already know a ton about them, which is most definitely a good thing.

Good first episode---I think it's wonderful.
Didn't exactly know what to expect, since I'm not a believer in spoilers--I have a hard time sometimes following all the little nunces in a
first ep because I'm trying to learn so much about the characters and plot line.
But I was impressed. I'll be watching more.

It was a risk I had to take--and took.
