I guess it's a female thing--my boyfriend says his pee instrument is probably his cleanest body part--but as a woman I would never touch something down there without washing my hands...

I think the Japanese might be a good source of
fold-up toilet design, given their track record for innovation in the bathroom dept.

I remember in Objects in Space right before Book is taken out by Jubal Early he appears to have just come out of the shower. He has a towel over his shoulder and looks like he just dried off. Otherwise, I think it would be possible to use that waterless cleanser stuff they have in some National Park restrooms that rubs out dry and smells good.
