I didn't see it as a jab, more a tribute - if nothing else the fact that Firefly was worthy of including in the list of shows that got the Wormhole-X-treme treatment in the first place :)

I think my favorite line though was "Ok. You got me. I have no idea what that is." And I didn't even watch Farscape...

Little spoiler here, if you have not seen the second half of season 3 of Stargate Atlantis, do not continue reading.

I just seen the season finale of Stargate Atlantis season 3 and our lovely Jewel Staite plays a major role of head doctor. She is not in very many scenes, but I think it could be a big role as she takes over for the now dead Dr. Carson Beckett.
I think it could be a bigger role for her than what she thinks.
She did a great job on this episode and I cannot wait until the start of season 4.

Stargate does love to grab up people from past scifi shows. I expect to see many more before the series ends. And of course that could be a long time. If they have a Stargate Atlantis then they could have a Stargate Olympus. After all they focus on gods.

Fillion could play Odysseus. Mal and Odysseus seem to sail their ships into some interesting situations. And they seem to get lost a lot.

I like both Stargates and I love how Firefly and Farscape actors are overwhelming the original ones :)
I was disappointed to see what they did to Jewel in the episode, where she played half-wraith, but now she's much better and I love that she took the doctor's position from Carson Becket. I never really liked him.
And I wanna see more Morena in SG-1!!
By the way check the 15th ep of season 10, it's also hilarios! Ben and Claudia team up to make great comedy!

Okay, when/where are you guys seeing new episodes of Atlantis? I went through over a week's worth of shows on SciFi trying to set my DVR for the new Stargates and they weren't there. I can't miss Jewel!...
