You might be right about Book, though. I thought he had decided to leave right after the punch from this same page, which was while Inara was still on board and likely to be for awhile because they were going in the wrong direction to drop her off.

On Badger's lapel there is a pink flamingo pin; the Pink Flamingo holds meaning to either the costume designer or the director; I couldn't tell their voices apart
