Hehe, I was thinking that same thing too! Aside from that though, this character really wasn't much like Mal...

I was kinda glad for that though....and I liked Tudyk being all morbid and creepifying on CSI...its nice to see my BDH branch out. Though i was hoping for some little thing only we browncoats would get.

Hear, hear. Whenever I see one of our BDH's guesting, I rate them by how much they make me forget about their famous roles. I prefer them going against the grain. So while Sean had more of an actual part in GHOST WHISPERER, I liked him in CSI: MIAMI for essentially playing the anti-Simon.
But my high water mark for BDH's guesting on other shows is Gina Torres in season 3 of 24 as Julia Miliken. Talk about a complete 180. Going from the toughest gal on the ship to a complete coward is pretty frackin amazing.
As for Nate on LOST, I liked the first scene where he's in the hotel hallway. And the way he says "You wanna do it?" was just perfect. But after that, he just seemed to be there as someone for Kate to react to. Didn't really seem like an actual character.
Mind you, if he is going to be in future episodes in Feb, then I'm willing to give it a pass. I didn't even notice that the drugged lemonade is a refrence to "Our Mrs. Reynolds".

"Four"
You would destroy the Cybermen with four Daleks?"
"We would destroy the Cybermen with ONE Dalek. You are superior in only one respect."
"What is that?"
"You are better at dying."
Trash talk between a Cyberman and a Dalek. It doesn't get any better than that.

LOL I have an LJ account and am part of a Lost community. THe first post of the night has a comment about Captain Tightpants getting drugged again. I knew it was a FF fan because who else would know to call him that?
Anyhow Nathan was great and don't really expect to see him again on the show.

Actually, this is the THIRD thing I've seen him get drugged in--
1. Firefly
2. The movie "Water's Edge" (not by a 'wife', but still a seductive con-woman)
3. Lost

Alan Tudyk as a pedophile in last weeks's CSI!!
I want to see Nathan do something different now. Not the hapless drug-ee. Please! Some kind of non-cop non-priest mean bastard who doesn't trip over women, no doofus action. Maybe a biker? Football player?

Goodmorning fellow browncoats
Well we watched the session ender of LOST last night and IMO it was very, very good. I do remember when the show first aired and we had a chance to start watching it then. I chose not to because it was just one among many new programs at the time and I usually am not sure about anything new making the cut. I had lots of stuff on my plate at that time and also work a rotating shift so why should I get involved in a new show I would not be able to watch half the time. This is how I view many new tv programs ( it was the same with Firefly) I don't feel that I am alone. Anyway "LOST" was lucky enough to have started it's tv life on ABC. It was given a greenlight for a second season and now it's on it's third. I want to thank ABC here for giving it room to find an audience and letting the creative team do their work. I feel if Firefly had been given the same chance it would be there right with LOST in the ratings and more that likely by now have an even bigger audience. We all know that this didn't happen. The BUZZ around the coffee pot in the break-room this morning is about LOST and not FIREFLY. It makes me feel sad. Not that I don't enjoy LOST I do. But I could also be discussing FF with my fellow co-workers as well. LOST is taking a break and will return in Febuary with 16 new eps. This is very smart. ABC is giving people that haven't seen the show from the begining a chance to catch the first two seasons and really get into it, a show that has all kinds of twists and turns and ????? about what will happen on that small island. ABC,my hats off to ya and I will drink a round of mudders milk for your ability to sit back and let a great show move forward.
Now some words on last nights eps of LOST. I knew that it would be good when within the first 40 seconds my wife looks at me and says " That's Nathan knocking on the door!" I just smiled. He does have an odd ability of hooking up with women that at some time will be standing over him as he lay senseless on the floor. When Kate handed him that glass of bug-juice I wanted him to look up and say "Mmmmmm... good cider. But I've got to go. I've got captainy things to do." Anyhoo I think that captain Reynolds did a very good job with his character last night on LOST and I hope to see more Kate flashbacks with him in them. LOST always ends in a cliff-hanger and so was the case in this eps. I'll be ready for it's return in Febuary and again want to thank ABC and the LOST creative team for casting Serenity's captain on their show. Browncoats we're still fiying.

Great episode! Too damn funny that, once again, he married a woman who ends up drugging him. ( At least this was a proper weddin'! ) I know it's unlikely, but there was a brief momment where I wondered if she had killed our Captn', instead of merely knocking him out. If she's on the run, then the last thing she'd want is murder on her head, so that's kinda unlikely.
Kate needs her own 'YoSaffBridge' name. I'm not such a LOST fan that I recall all her names. I think she was called something else in the bank job she did, but I'm not sure.
Kate sure does get around a lot.
People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

AURaptor fine idea.IMO any combination of Kate's aliases would have to include "Freckles" in there somewhere and yep you're right she does come with an exceptional amount of baggage, but
SPOILER:
That would come with the territory considering she blew up her dad.

PS: The whole surviving group on that island is a bunch of misfits and it has been alotted to that there is a reason the they all ended up on the same plane. It wasn't just by blind chance. The mystery goes on...
