Thanking ABC is a way to let them know how many fans of Nathan's there are out here and that we're pleased he's on their show. And we'll likely watch it more because he is on there.
It's not meant to be disrespectful of Nathan's ability to get jobs. It's not a way to make Firefly/Serenity come back, it's a way to let folks know they'll have a lot of viewers in BC's if they'd like to.
I think congratulating Nathan is a wonderful idea. Anyone like to post a way to send him emails or a letter? I know when it was announced that he'd gotten the job, there were a lot of congratulatory posts on the OB, a board he does frequent ( just not frequently! LOL)
Perhaps he knows of our congratulations already. I don't suppose it would hurt to say it again?

Nathan is a terrific actor and Lost is lucky to have him. But thanks can influence show development.
Remember that fan reaction to James Marsters changed Joss' plan to kill Spike in the second season. And CW still hasn't figured out that the huge bump in Smallville ratings last season was a legion of Buffy fans tuning in for Brainiac as one of the few opportunities to see James on current TV.
I'm going to thank ABC for a chance to see Nathan again and what helps our BDH helps our cause. Great thread, thanks for the contact info.
And while you're at it, thank them for Day Break with Adam Baldwin too. It's the series that will show while Lost waits for new episodes.

Went to the ABC site and put in my two cents. I mentioned I would be watching my first episode of Lost tonight BECAUSE Nathan will be appearing.I told them to watch the ratings jump tonight, as the legions of NATHAN fans tune in to see our Captain.

It's more than a little snippet, but not the whole ep all Nathan.
I do suppose that was more than I should hope for, as there are other people in the cast.

After that fabulous episode of Lost, I had to thank ABC for giving the role to Nathan. I told them they had done a wonderful job in casting him for the role and that I would tune into any show, be it drama or comedy, that included Fillion. ;) Woot!
