Very cool, Rue!
Oh, and since you brought up "The Insider," and you've expressed support in the past for me quitting smoking, I wanted to let you know that I haven't smoked a cigarette in two months.
Congrats! I'm at about 5 month myself, and I hardly miss it at all anymore. Good going!

You mean like Congressman William Jefferson ( D- LA ) ?
I just read something today that reminded me of this comment, AURaptor. Jefferson will be in a run-off election because he didn't get a majority of the vote. Some of the left blogs are throwing their support behind one of the challengers, Karen Carter. You probably don't feel like going over to DailyKos to read the entire entry but here is an excerpt:

It seems that the elections never end on election day anymore. There are several recounts afoot and a run-off in Texas. There's also a run-off in Louisiana, where state Rep. Karen Carter will face off against corrupt U.S. Rep. William Jefferson in LA-02.
This race matters because we need to send a strong message, a message that the Democratic Party won't tolerate corruption on either side of the aisle. Come January, we're finally going to take back the House. But before we do, we need to clean house first. And that's why the Swing State Project, DailyKos and MyDD are officially endorsing Karen Carter in her runoff on Dec. 9th.
...
If you want to donate money to Rep. Carter's campaign, AURaptor, you can go to this ActBlue page: http://www.actblue.com/page/bluemajority?refcode=DKosLA-02
Looks like she picked up about $500 in the first hour. If she's going to seriously challenge someone who takes $100,000 bribes it's going to take a little more than that.
On a broader note, I remember you complaining about Cynthia McKinney earlier this year. I'm sure you appreciated the Democratic voters in her district knocking her out in the primary and replacing her with a much better Democratic candidate.
