NAH.
But I've clocked maybe 20 seconds against mine in a major film. If you look closely at "The Insider" I am one of the bona fide scientists they used as extras for the film.

I voted before class. Does anyone else hate how the proposals are worded? I had to look up some of them just to make sense of it all. And does anyone else go "eeny meeny miney moe" when it comes to the non-partisan stuff? Half the people I hadn't heard of.

No time for a long post... voted this morning, standard issue paper/opscan balloting - they had ONE touchscreen and everyone avoided it like it was covered in HIV - I guess they had to provide the option, but no one would even go near it.
Spent/spending the rest of the day covering for the local dept, to run off any goons/ghouls/intimidators from either party - and preventing sign-spamming on the property of unwilling victims.
Politics is a bit less fun than a root canal, but little to no chicanery here today, guess they save that for further downtown.

Voted and donated blood, two years in a row that both happened to be on the same day. We use the opti-scan (pen on paper - fill in the line)in my area, not a touch screen in sight.

I voted with Inkavote. I really like it. We used to have the infamous punch card system before 2000, but by 2004 the punchards were gone, gone, gone.
Not too many people at our polling place but (a) I live in a wealthy neighborhood and (2) I got to the polls about 30 minutes after they opened.
We had a LOT of ballot initiatives and bond measures this year. I had to study the information package for a couple of days before I could figure them out!
I used to be realy excited about the ballot initiative process until I saw a couple of real clunkers pass. The so-called Three-Strikes Law (Polly's Law) was fine in theory, but badly written. Most of the legislators knew is was junk, but it had built up so much steam in public opinion that everybody was afraid to point out some rather serious flaws.
I've also seen problems with designating taxes for specific purposes. (Bonds, IMHO, are a different story.) The problem with that is the state fiscal situation changes, needs change, priorities change very quickly- for example Enron changed the CA budgetary landscape in just two months. That kind of micromanagement really thwarts effective governance.

Ahhh, you have the kind that tricks people into thinking ... you know ...
The problem is, as I see it, that they are support for their radical and unethical brethren. At a certain point you're voting for the party. Is the republican party what you really want? (Or are you thinking, I would want them, if only I could change them somehow ... they're worth my loyalty if it gives me time to fix them so I could REALLY love them ...) ?
