i had a sort of similar experience once with a car i once owned......it was a 1974 ranchero (the ford version of the el camino) that was all kinds of hopped up, it had a motor ford doesn't even make in america anymore (thecleveland block 351) an awesome dual exhaust, dual quads, the works, and it just sounded so bad-ass going down the road, i had a state cop pull me over just to see what this thing was........it was actually a fun experience, 'cause he was like a little kid checking out my ride

I'm pretty much a newbie here so from one to another welcome.
As to your story, I've been reading through most of the posts. I tend to be more anti-establishment in a low-keyed manner. Many of the folks I work out with in my Krav Maga class are law enforcement types. That's new for me. We're all people and have things in common but I tend to be a bit cautious. Not that I'm afraid to speak my mind. I just don't see the point in drawing attention to myself in ways that might not serve. Kind of more like Zoe than Mal I guess.
In my neighborhood we've had a number of situations where police officers have allegedly (cause I wasn't there to witness it) sexually harrassed and fondled women they've stopped. While I'm not the fearful type I have to say if I were stopped in this area at night I'd be on my guard.
I don't know if you realized what you were getting into when you posted your story. I always figure we can learn from everything and this is an opportunity to view things in ways we hadn't considered before. Even when I get pissed off about something, once I calm down, I try to figure out how to make it useful. Even if it's as simple as doing everything I can to avoid that same situation in the future.
OK that was fun - now I'm going to go vote for Firefly as the best TV show again.

KANE if you are reacting like to a story on the Internet, then how do you react to these kinds of stories in real life? He was just telling you a story about an interesting thing that happend to him that night. You could have not posted?
And come on, " Abuse of power?" Are you a human activist? He played a joke on a guy. You know i think if the driver didnt mind then there is nothing to be upset about as you obviously are.

Mornin officer. I've got a good job for you. There are some F_x exects I'd like for you to pull over and ticket for canceling a great show without blinking. If they give you any trouble send them to the "Big House" and see to it that they are put in a cell with the biggest,meanest "Mutha" you can find. One that will walk up to them and say " You sure ain't gonna be pitchin."

I've just seen a thread in this part of the forum titled "Hope?"
It's hard not to look at the whole FF/Serenity ordeal without seeing it as us(vs)them when you have so many browncoats that know a new series or sequel to Serenity is worth making not only for the fans but that will make money as well. Still there is no hint that there will be more. That's where the whole us/them situation comes in. It's not a good feeling. It comes out of frustration. Bowncoats aren't beyond asking for more. We've done that and are continuing to do it. Where has that gotten us?
I will continue to support and preach the Joss verse but sometime I get the feeling that companies are just milking every last bit of profit that they can and your opinion/feelings as a fan don't mean a thing. So why not get the feeling that it's us/them? If I see a little sunshine I'm ready to join the team and become a team player.
