(Optional) Just for fun, how did you first discover Firefly?I had first read about Firefly when Dark Angel was axed, and then there were comments in the Buffy info I read and then I was wandering around the dvd shop and the box set was at eye level and I looked at 'Caleb's' face, read Joss's name and thought I would give it a go, never looked back.

How many boxed sets purchased? Just one
Approx how many converts made? Not sure, couple dozen I guess.
How discoved Firefly? The orginal trailers on tv.

Somewhere between two and a half and three years.

Only one, bought shortly after seeing the series for the first time on a friend's DVDs

Most of my friends are already Browncoats, however I did loan my DVDs to a friend an I think he's probably been fully converted by now. (If not he needs to spend more time with my friend Rachel, she's a very enthusastic Browncoat)
Just for fun, how did you discover Firefly?:
One of my friends brought the DVDs over to my dorm and they started watching them. I missed the first three episodes, but one of my friends came and dragged me down to the main lounge in time to see Bushwacked. We then proceeded to watch all of the rest of the episodes, which too us till 2:00 in the morning. About three weeks later, the first chance I had to get to a store, I bought my own copy of Firefly. Yes, I was an instant convert

well, for this I'm mighty damn sheepish
- it's only been two - one for me & one for my brother. I've been too BDPoor the last few years which, had this occured a couple more years ago, I'd have been buying one or two a week & giving them out as party favors.In my attempt to atone, I HAVE overcompensated by buying an unknown number of BDM single discs, handing them out willy-nilly

Honestly don't know... certainly at least 50 personally BUT... as I post & email all over the www, I have no idea if some reader of any of these may have been swayed to give it a BDChance. Hopefully, which is why I've been so obsessively vocal

I read the LA Times guide to the new TV shows coming out that year, which they always put out so you know what's what
and, having already become a fan of, both, Joss, and Nathan Fillion and, liking the premise well enough that, even if it was being produced by complete unknowns, I was still going to give it a chance - I tuned in for the very first broadcast moment and... they had me at the moment the (job) note leaves the belly-dancer's hand and slips into Cappin' Mal's. When that episode was done, it was my absolute #1 top must-see show of that year and I have to tell ya... when Fox cancelled it, I had paroxisms of grief that mirrored Kübler-Ross's 5 stages of death-acceptance... as if the show was a living person who was able to speak to me
...pretty sure it did speak to me...
