Paul - I just wanted to say that I loved your description and sharing of the service you led! I have taken to referring to myself as a 'Pagan-Christian' since I am so very into understanding the dis-empowerment of women in the early church (or at least the manipulation of the histories that reflect their role!) I am an involved Christian, but I have a strong connection to the female-godess aspect of the earth - my POV on the whole thing even comes from Genesis - where God gives man & woman dominion over all living things I believe we are intended to take responsibility for, rather than try to shape and possess the earth... There are so many things that coincide that i love the idea of your church - just a question as an Aussie - what is the UU Church?
Well - I'm off to bed - prob'ly to sleep curled up by the pyre! It's now All Hallow's Day here in the land of Down Under!
