I heard about it on and off on my lj friends-list and then saw the trailer advertised online. I watched it and was inspired to read a Firefly quotes website and... loved it! So I first got episodes from an online friend and then later bought the DVD set and the rest is history.

4. How discovered: When Train Job aired. Wasn't impressed by the few ads I had seen, but gave it a shot anyway due to being broke and home on a friday night waiting for the wife to get home from work.

converts - 'bout seven, though only three have bought the sets.
first discovered - I saw a couple of snatches of different episodes when they first aired and was aware of it, but never got round to watching properly until after the movie came out, when I just had to!

- Four years plus (since the show first aired).
- Six sets of Firefly (including gifts).
- Approximately a dozen converts, though the exact number is impossible to determine (some of my efforts have been in online fora and I don't always get feedback).
- Discovered it through a preview article that described the show, then watched the first broadcast (The Train Job). I don't recall where I saw that article, or even whether it was online or in print.
