Two .45 semi-auto's, one Colt and one Springfield. Colt's my favorite to shoot.

I also have an AR-15, that was unfortunately purchased during the assault weapons ban, so there's no flash supressor and the mags I have for it are only 20 rounds. I could get the accessories, but I'm too poor right now.

U.S. Army Standard issue KABAR. My favorite knife.

Buck knife that I've used on several hunting and wilderness excursions.

A decently crafted Daisho from Hanwei. I named the Zukuri Katana "Kage no Aki", Shadow of Autumn. The wakizashi remains un-named.

Traditional Scottish Claymore, with a Y shaped hilt instead of the "Braveheart" cross-hilt.

And besides those, a host of 15$ - 70$ "crap" swords. Although I wish to point out one in particular, "Mikadonami", that has particular sentimental value.

A really cheap double flail, tonfa, nunchaku, shinai, bokken, knuckle-dusters, butterfly-knife.

That's all I can think of. My dad's got a small armoury in his basement.

Love to see some pix if you got any.

The fact that I have to use both hands to count them isn't a good sign, is it?

Don't that just make it worth it all?

Makes me feel a brush with death comin' on momentarily...

Well. Good night, troops. Maybe I'll see y'all tomorrow night.

CMH, why do you prefer the Colt over the Springfield? I have had the chance to fire both, and I have not really noticed much of a difference...do you have either one modified in any way? You also sound like me with the swords and "assorted edged weapons" collection....

Neko! Whatcha doin'?

JTD, if you ever have the chance to go skeet shooting with a Mossberg riot gun, go for it! Real quick funny story....
I have a friend who's father invited us to do some shotgunning one day. I have several shotguns, but the Mossberg is the one I prefer for general range shooting. We get to the place, and it turns out it's a skeet range...and I am at a serious disadvantage now, or so I think. This is the funny part, though...on the first 20 skeet round, I outshot both my friend and my friend's father...I hit 8 of the 20, they hit 5 or 6. Imagine a pistol-grip, pump-action shotgun with the minimum-length unchoked slug barrel against 20-gauge over-under shotguns! Of course, it was beginners' luck...they wiped the floor with me from then on out. But, it was worth it to see their expressions; especially the range-master: "Son, are you really serious?".

StinkingRose... That was funny!

Ren and Stimpy indeed. For those who are unsure of the lyrics, here y'go.
(Stimpy)
Our country reeks of trees
Our yaks are really large
And they smell like rotting beef carcuses

And we have to clean up after them
And our sadle sores are the best
We proudly wear womens' clothing
And seering sandblows up our skirts!

(Ren joins with Stimpy)
And the buzzards, they soar overhead
And poisonous snakes will devour us whole
And our bones will bleach in the sun

(Stimpy)
That's it!

(Ren & Stimpy)
And we will probably go to (censored)
And that is our great reward
For being the
Ro-oy-oy-al
Canadian Kilted Yaksmen!

(Stimpy)
C'mon everybody!

(Everyone)
Our country reeks of trees
Our yaks are really large
And they smell like rotting beef carcuses

And we have to clean up after them
And our sadle sores are the best
We proudly wear womens' clothing
And seering sand blows up our skirts

And the buzzards, they soar overhead
And poisonous snakes will devour whole
Our bones will bleach in the sun

And we will probably go to (censored)
And that is our great reward
For being the

Kilted
YAKSMEN!

Tristan - Just my general preference. For whatever reason, my grouping stays tighter with the Colt, and my long range accuracey's more consistant. Not to mention, the Colt's slightly more compact, and I have (unfortunately) tiny hands.

My dad's complained about the Colt jamming up on him, but I haven't had the same problem. But no, neither one's modified.

I also have a shuriken, a naginata, and a scythe that I forgot to mention earlier. Okay, so the scythe's not really a weapon, but it looks very ominous in the corner of my bedroom.

JonnyQuest - I have a few not so good ones...

About half the weapons depicted here are mine

My Hanwei Daisho, "Kage no Aki" and the Wakizashi

I'll work on getting some better one's, and some of the firearms if you'd like. Shouldn't take more than a day or two.

Place my body on a ship and burn it on the sea,
Let my spirit rise, Valkiries carry me.
Take me to Valhalla where my brothers wait for me.
Fires burn into the sky, my spirit will never die.

I know this one's not that long, but given that all 80-odd posts happened in a shortish space of time, I'm starting a new thread just to prevent this one being overloaded. If you want to keep posting weapon pics, do so here.

For a new ponderance, head to the new thread at http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=24902

A friend of mine is a blacksmith and carpenter. I'm a medieval historian. So between us, we had the idea to build a catapault. Since he also grew pumpkins, we had a nice supply of ammo lined up, too.

Except our respective partners got wind of the plan, and we were forbidden to play together anymore.

BTW, CMH, I love proper Japanese weaponry. I used to work for a man who collected antique blades - looking through the catalogues for him was akin to weapon-porn.

Here it is. BabySis wants nothing to do with you. She is really depressed and wishes you'd leave her alone. I've been told of your abusive behavior toward her and I ain't one to make threats but understand the implications of your actions. Please discontinue any further attempts to contact her or drastic action may be taken. As I am sure you've seen my pics and demonstration of only a small amount of my ability I'm sure you understand the action I am more than willing to take for the safety and security of my family.
Go in a good way.
Joe

See *sigh* this is why I always wanted a big brother… you are awesome NVG! Why aren’t there more men like you in the world…?

Ok, update on my maybe-not-so-non-existant-love-life
Nothing going on at the mo, since its the holidays, but, on the last day, I was sat on my own in physics and he came and sat with me, and invited me to a party, which sadly I had to decline, because of going to see Ross Noble, so we'll have to see what happen after the holidays. Also, I've been thinking, and I'm pretty sure the ass- side of him is your general showing off and "look at me I'm so macho" thing" that unfortunately every teenage boy suffers from. Things could be looking up...

Ooooh – I was thinking along those – silly boy needs attention and affirmation of other silly boys attitude… shame you had to say no – but Ross Noble is, at least, a very good reason to miss out!!! LOL! I love Ross Noble! Keep us posted SBDB!

Oh – and as far as trolls – I try not to engage them… but I see the redeemable side in some of them and make the mistake of actually talking with them like they were… you know… people! Then I get kicked in the gut and now I think I don’t like them at all… Kaneman is a female – I’m pretty certain of that – and probably the same person as the freak River126 or whatever that was! I’m just going to skip over their posts all together from now on… specially since I actually read something foul that Kaneman said about my truly gorgeous cousin who was in a photo I posted of myself a while ago… *OK – not getting upset…*

And NVG – you totally rock!! Go you!! The B’Bappers will give you a 2 for one discount ifyou want us to deal with BabySis’s ex & your Miss-Guided-Slut-Bitch-from-hell… (oooh – did I type that out loud? )

Oh - I think that's all I had to say on the previous thread... I think...

Better read this one now...

Don't look unduly small in the first pic...

Love to see whate'er you're willin' ta display. Seen some very shiny collections here. Mine, not so much. The "weapons" I have, besides a pen mightier than Excalibur and a tongue honed to a razor sharp edge, comes down to a few inherited items with multiple uses, something with training wheels and a replica.
T
o wit: From my dad I got a machete and a bullwhip, from my father-in-law I got an awesome scythe, real old-timey stuff that was probably his dad's and a broke double-barrel shotgun (don't know the make off the top of my head--all this stuff is in storage at the moment, but maybe someday soon I can drag 'em out for a photo shoot). I have a set of foam-covered practice nunchakus that a friend of mine who used to teach Tai Kwon Do and worked in a martial arts store gave me, rarely used. And finally a fake pirate's flintlock fer decoration in our pirate themed living room (looks cool by our Jolly Roger Tavern sign). Once upon a time ago, I had a .45 automatic squirtgun that was so authentic looking only the bright red rubber sprayer nozzle would give it away, and even then you'd have to be looking "down the barrel" (that wasn't there...). They most Certainly don't make 'em like that anymore.

Pretty pathetic, huh?

Neat that the pix you share are in context. Really brings the feel across. (Did I really just say "NEAT"??

EDIT: Just saw the next crop of pics you posted while I was composing this. Verrrrry nice. Not too white-trashy; just a hint of it...
