We'll be on our way to Chicago just AFTER the ball. Gorrammit! Hey, anyone know of a similar get together in Alaska? Any other Alaska fans out there?
Angelus will be in his bunk. Beware!

Unfortunately my wife & I will just be getting back from Dragon Con in Atlanta the week before.
It's a shame. I would love to attend.

We have chosen the Best Western Inn of Chicago as the hotel for the Browncoat Ball. It is located a block east of Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile, and we got a great rate!
We toured the recently remodeled hotel, and the rooms were very nice and roomy. And as an added bonus, Buffy fan events have been held at the hotel the past few years. So the staff should be able to accommodate the Browncoats easily (or at least know what they are in for :) ).
Complete information about the hotel and how to reserve your room, including hotel disclaimers, can be found at http://www.browncoatball.com/hotel_transport.html.
We suggest that you think about having roommates to defray the cost. If you are looking for a roommate, please post at the forum ( http://www.browncoatball.com/forum/) in the "Find a Roommate" thread. If you have trouble finding a roommate or two, please get in touch with us at info@browncoatball.com.
Looking forward to seeing you all in September,
Amy

Minnesota Browncoats,
I'm a non-smoking female looking for a carpooling roommate. I can drive the PT Cruiser 'cause I'm sure the husband ain't letting us take the Mini.

Glad to hear you're coming down from Minnesota! It's a nice drive.
We have a carpool thread (Roadtrip!) at our shiny form too: http://www.browncoatball.com/forum/

Hmmm....my being almost terminally shy might be a problem though. Guess I'll have to think about this one...

I move to Chicago in May and parts of this event sound like a blast and parts sound like a total bore. And i do hate people so i will spend the weekend in my South Loop apartment.
$100 is too much for what would equal eight of me sitting in the corner, being bored, not knowing anybody there, drinking diet pepsi (fucking 21 yr old drinking age), going back to my apartment only to be bored some more, and skipping the bus tour/"afternoon in the city" bc I will be living in Chicago for years and years anyway.
