PR- sorry about that. That was our storm yesterday. It's a nasty slushy snow and chillingly cold, but warm is coming in behind it ( ok in an end of October sense of the word warm)
Tristan- Rain is my favorite weather. Not the massive downpour, but the dark overcast skys that make it look like night, cold snapping breeze, and rain...ooooooooooooooooh sorry all wishing for you weather now. It's my favorite weather to brew a pot of tea in my fav Chinese teapot and grab two or three new books and put on Loreena McKennitt and grab my quiltsac ( the lovesac people make quilts too and my sis in law is their accountant so we get lots of lovesac stuff cheap)and snuggle in for a best day ever. Even if I go to work on a rainy day, it just makes me happy:)
Weapons- Husband has variety of swords. Dad has many guns. None are named, but I bet my dad would let me name them( I'm the favorite child)

I am on a mailing list for them that I usually ignore because I can never make it up there to them because of work. I need to join the other Atlanta groups as well as the SEBC.
PhoenixRose, I have been meaning to comment on your signature, which I assume is based a bit on Dylan Thomas' Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night (one of my favorite poems, I even recorded myself reciting it so a friend from chat could hear me). I really like the sig (sorry to whinge on about it).

I miss Atlanta desperately every day. Living there for 6 years for school was absolute bliss, and now even the 100 miles to get there seems like light years, due to just not having the proper time to get up there. I went from the booming metropolis of 4.5 million+ to roughly 30,000-50,000, the majority of whom work for the base.

Morning, MSG!
If it were only like that here, it would be alright...it's that nasty constant mid-sized rain that blows sideways every now and then. But a nice cup of tea sounds good right about now...*sigh*
I'm also signed up for the SEBC group, but I either never have time or find out about meetings after the fact...guess I need to start paying more attention to the posts there, eh?

Tristan - Glad to hear it wasn't an attack, though I felt a small jab in my ribs
Thought I'd post that Husband's Armory is under lock and key...and no, I don't think there's anything wrong with that pet peeve at all. I really don't like weapons at all- only tolerate them in the house because Husband is careful with them.
Which brings me to ask those who are in a position to comment...Do you think children should be exposed to guns/gun safety at a young age to "demystify" them and educate them or should children be kept away from guns totally? Does it matter where you are? Rural ( and more likely to have hunting rifles, etc ) or Urban ( where guns are more likely for protection?)
EDIT: Took so long to write due to the real world I missed some people. Good Morning, MsG & PR !

Cold and nasty here in the UK too.
I cannot function in the mornings once it starts to get dark. It's as if someone has thrown a switch the last week, even though it's not got significantly darker or colder than before.
Weapons - do kitchen knives count? Or blowtorches? Or the little blade attachements you can get for food processors that look like shuriken? Otherwise, I own fencing blades, competition and practise.
Oh well, blessings for Samhain.
SpaceAnJL - Living Dead Girl until the sun comes back.

I am sorry, Mavourneen...I never meant to jab anyone...forgive me?
SpaceAnJL! Haven't seen you in awhile! All those things you listed...in the hands of the wrong person, yes they do count. And I think you qualify for that.

SpaceAnjl- we should trade places. I love drizzling rain and you could come enjoy the sun here.
Tristan- ah but blowing mid-size rain make being inside so cozy:) Annoying aren't I...I really do love rain.
Mavoureen- I think if there are guns in the house or in the houses of friends, then the kids should be taught gun safety. Rules like NEVER point a gun at someone even if it isn't loaded.

I'm a wrong person?
Oh, well, it's been said before. In the hands of the knowledgable, anything is a weapon.
You've just started a Jaynecentric plot bunny. Be afraid.
BTW, I have not forgotten the Pratchett crossover. It's just experiencing a temporary delay due to house issues.
Msg - I know what you mean about the snuggling. New house has an open fireplace in the living room - we are getting the chimney checked!
