Sister, I already have and have watched it at least 4 times and that was since 17 July! Okay.. but I was stuck out on the outer colonies with nothing to do But I drove my brother-in-law crazy with Firefly on every night.

And I'm thinking of watching it agan... and again.. and again..

We must be new.. We have no cool little quotes or pictures.

Hey--want to say hello to you all, I'm new here too (signed up about five minutes ago after guesting on and off for a few months).

I'm one of those who discovered Serenity/Firefly completely by accident. It was basically "Oh look, new batch of movies on the satellite, let's check out this 'Serenity' thing".

Two hours later (well, not quite so long since I missed the first fifteen minutes) I was sitting there with my jaw in my lap going "What the HELL was that???"

I had no clue it was Whedon (I was never much of a Buffy fan anyway; I liked it but not enough to make a point of looking for it), and had only vaguely heard rumours of some short-lived show called Firefly that people did seem to like a lot, but I didn't make the connection for quite a while.

All I knew was the movie blew my socks off. I hadn't been so excited by a movie for years and years.

The rest, as they say, is history. Watched the movie a stack of times, bought the series, love the series too and can't believe it didn't last (FOX definitely wins the Stupidest Decision By A Network Award for that one!). As an old fart I remember the excitement of the original Star Trek (did I say I was an old fart?) and I feel extraordinarily lucky to have experienced that amazement at a tv show *twice* in a lifetime.

They don't come along too often.

If all is not lost, where is it?

fine, juicy strawberries and a mug of Mudder's
Milk. RMMC is in charge of the Tullimore Dew
so we'll have to ask her for a ration.

Then it's up to the galley to question the
buffet, which is always stocked with the best
goodies we can find in the 'Verse -- or very
good imitations thereof, thanks to some expert
chefs.

If you're offered a virtual browncoat, do not
hesitate to accept it. The fit is always perfect.

Please try not to step on ShipsCat or into her
dish. ::-)

Go now and vote for Firefly as best TV show. We
were doing well until the Xenites banded together
to skew the totals.

And please visit the Caption threads. We need
new blood!

Share your Firefly/Serenity love with those who
never heard of it.
