Try searching for "serenity" or "firefly" on cafepress and you get no results.

What is really assinine is that there are a LOT of people other than Browncoats who use the word SERENITY - say, like yoga enthusiasts, buddhists, new agers, Alcoholics Anonymous. What about those cafepress shops?

That makes me worry about my own store (looking13glass.livejournal.com), in which I use the medallion (minus the 'Serenity' text, it has only the Chinese characters) and the Blue Sun logo. But that is a patch a purchased from another fan's store, whom makes patches from the 'verse (Browncoats 107).
I've been very careful to recreate all the logos therefore *technically* not stepping on anyone's toes, but if Universal is coming down on Cafepress, who's to say I won't be next to recieve a strongly worded letter... if they can find me, that is *hides*

omg! that sucks!!! :( and there were some shiny pieces of work on there...have they made people who have those kinds of things related to firefly take their designs off???

I have, over the years, been asked by CP to remove and/or alter designs. Never a wholesale shutdown, mind you, and sometimes I scratch my head how one design is considered a violation and another is not, but I never contest it. The only time I have ever contested anything was with the "got milk?" people, who were too powerful, so I let it be, and currently am in a process of trying to get a dialogue started with the CAUTION!WEAR people who seem to think they own the word "CAUTION". *sigh*

But mostly, CP has been cool, and never made complaint over anything that didn't have the possibility of pushing the edge.

They police me thoroughly, yet politely. Not like ZAZZLE, whom many here know F**KED me in the cornhole hard without lube and then poured lemon juice on...

Anywho...it happens. It's part of doing business. Believe me, if I ever thought they crossed me wrong, I'd raise the alarm to Browncoats everywhere.
