I was looking around for a Serenity Movie poster on Amazon.com and I was reading one of the reviews on the bottom of the page.

Here is the part that caught my attention.

There are other variations on this poster. One has a different (and inferior) pose of River at the top, with different shots for three of the four other characters (Inara appears to be the same), this time with the tag line: "They're armed. She's dangerous."

The question I am asking is, is this the German poster he is refering too or another one I just haven't seen? Because I obviousley can't read German I tried inserting the words into an online translator and came up with some wierd phrase that didn't make sense. I like that tag line, but it would be pointless to buy the German poster if I can't read it.

If there is a Flan from Germany or somebody who speaks German could help me out here that would be awesome. Here is the link to the poster that I am refering too.

Also does Universal sell posters online someplace. I looked on their official website and and couldn't really find a place on it to buy official merchandise. If not no big deal I can find one easly elsewhere, just thought it would be better to buy straight from them and probably easer to find exactly what I wanted.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Red!

Well, not sure if this one is the one being refered to, would have to see the others to compare...

...BUT, the tagline at the bottom of this one, "Die einen haben die waffen. Sie ist gefahrlich." means, "They're armed, she's dangerous."

And, the text below the title, "Flucht in neue welten" means, "Escape to New Worlds"...

That is an AWESOME poster.

Thanks for puttin' it up!

The text that I can read (visible to my unaugmented eye) is as follows:
"From the Creator of Buffy in(collog. under?) the Spell of the Demons and Angel the Hunter of Darkness"
"Serenity (obviously) Escape into New Worlds"
"Fall 2005"
The bottom is a little more obscure and there's thread that brings this up. http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=12819 In translating you have to play a little give and take because of the idioms involved with languages. I'm thinking it's wordplay:
"They have a Weapon - She is Dangerous"
"She is a Weapon - She is Dangerous"

EDIT: Thanks ShogunJedi. Much more succinctly put. I am humbled.

"Well, here I am."

Thats what I was thinking, thanks a lot.

To bad they don't make that poster with English. That one is by far my favorite visually. And the They're armed, she's dangerous tag line is awesome. But if nobody can read it, it isn't as cool.

I know I've seen the tagline in English somewhere...thought it was on a poster. Huh.

"Well, here I am."

Does Universal sell any of there official merchandise on a website someplace, or do they just let the various business' take care of that.

Thought it might be easier to see everything they make instead of visiting 100 different websites.
