Mal/Inara Miranda Deleted Scene??

Agree. There are scenes on the New Zealand DVD (we allow Aussies to watch them too) with Mal and Inara that are apparently not on the US DVD (which I haven't seen so I can't be certain) but not this one. The extended shuttle sequence where Mal talks about how he was beating the Operative in the training house is quite funny. I get the feeling Nathan was ad libbing, simply because Morena doesn't always respond incisively.

It isn't on the German special edition either which is actually identical to the Australian version (which in turn makes this whole comment rather needless 
)

Just looked at the back of my dvd and you're right. It says that it's Region 2 and 4 PAL.

Just FYI, the reason why Mal suddenly starts dancing in the blooper reel is that they were filming at a school and the intercom system kept randomly playing snatches of music. It kicked in just as they were filming that scene so Nathan started dancing... however they didn't want to pay for the rights for the song just for that so they muted it out.
Which does make Nathan look like a mad dancing fool.

Hi all... It's funny this topic came up as I had guessed about the 'dancin' fool' reason being exactly what's been stated here - knowing how high school pa system's work...
I went through the special features on my DVD on Saturday for the gorgeous Phoenix Rose - the things we have in Australia that zone 1 doesn't apparently have include outtakes of Fanti & Mingo (meh), the aforementioned Mal & Inara in 'her' shuttle after the escape from the Companion Training House - in greenscreen... it is ad libbed so it's a bit patchy - but funny none-the-less. There is also a 55 min long Q & A session with Joss at Fox Studios in Sydney following a screening of 'Serenity'... A brief documentary about Jack Green - lighting/cinematography guy - and his family working on 'Serentiy'... and a mini-tour of the boat with Joss/Nathan/Alan and ever-so-briefly Adam!
There you go - I too would like to see that scene just to see how it might work - I didn't think it was up to the usual standard of Joss's dialogue... nor could I imagine (as an actor) playing it realisticly without going over the top... but then - if anyone could do it - Nathan & Morena could!!

I'm sorry for getting your hopes up but as Magdalena and a couple of others have noted the scene my over worked brain remembered is infact the extended Mal and Inara scene just after the daring rescue.
Only just got in from a long week and thought I should look for you.
I would be good if there was a release that included all the extended scenes and gag reels. Especially as differnt parts of the globe get differnt goodies, hence my purchase from Australia rather then europe.
I will have a good look around to see if anyone has posted this anywhere else, you never know some kind hearted soul my just have it lying around.
