Have to agree with everyone and say I hate how they are trying to put it like current events.

Frak teh suicide bombings, the Col shouldn't of suggested them. They seemed to be doing pretty good without them.

And i'm loving the Starbuck Clone-thingie. And Starbuck with long hair. I heard a rumor she had cut it all off again. Guess that must be later in teh season?

Oh and wtf is up with Apollo and his fat @$$?

Overall tho, i can't wait until Saturday (when i can download the newest ep, since the UK aint airing them).

Does anyone share my thinking regarding Starbuck and her cylon child. I think Starbuck is playing along with the situation but will eventually kill her child and escape.

By the way she got attached to the child so quickly leads me to believe that she is playing along.

But, it might be genuine, who knows.

We know she'll kill that Cylon dude whenever she gets the chance, but we've seen Starbuck's softside and might not kill the child, even might bring it with her when the rescue comes.

That is exactly how I saw it, not as an allegory for the current conflict in Iraq, but as the depths humans will go in war. My wife on the other hand saw it as a reflection of the current conflict.

Thanks, I'm not denying thobvoius parrallels withwhat's happening in Iraq today, and BTW what's wrong with using real events in art, thats nothing new anyway? Certain phrases like insurgents, infidels etc were maybe a little too on the nose, butthey apply.

But I do think the show is aiming to be more universal than that, and anyone who knows anything about human history knows that what goes on today in wars around the world has been going on since humans have been on the earth. War and occupation is n ugly business and fighting back, whwether justified or not, is just as ugly, often worse because the outnumbered have to be prepared to go further if they want to survive.

If the show's political undertones bother you, just watch it as merely a work of fiction that has no bearing on the world today! !:)

Its still worth watching just as an entertaining story.

We're still flying.

That's not much.

It's enough.
