It so simple it is genius.

I hope Haken has seen this and as I type is implementing it.

It can only make a great site better.

A BIG DAMN SITE! :)

I've oft said to other Browncoats that a search feature is the ONLY thing this site truly lacks. It is still the best site in the 'Verse, and I am happy it is here w/ or w/o search capabilities...but I wish it were w/

It seems as though people are using this. So, I thought I'd drop a note that a couple days ago I switch DNS hosting as well as moved my site onto a different box... somewhere... out there.

Now, when I do a lookup I get the new info. BUT, I noticed that even last night there were some accesses to my box (the old one). The problem is that I'm going to have to shutdown MY box sometime today.

What this means is that some people may not be able to access my site (the search) for a little bit. Probaly in the range of 1/2 a day after the shutdown max. But after that, the new info should have propagated across the net resolving the problem.

Also, since I moved the site off my box and am getting it hosted, I don't have to worry much at all about bandwidth. So, it'll stay up until/if Haken snags it and puts it up here.

At any rate, I'm glade you guys like it and I hope that this potential problem notice is for not.

Have a shiny day

I prefer Terry Pratchett's version:

Build a man a fire, he is warm for a night. Set a man on fire, he is warm for the rest of his life.

Or: give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and he'll spend all weekend on a boat drinking beer.

This is really nifty. I've used the regular Google, but it's nice to have just FFF.net stuff.
Thanks, SignaNunki.

Sigmanunki,

I use this search over and over and rely on it now to help me keep track of new folks, interesting threads and news!
What would we do without it?
A thousand times, thank you!
