Yeah, I guess Dorrian was pretty cool, but I still wanted Cery and Sonea to end up together...

Why, I'm reading Firefly fanfiction of course!
Seriously, I just stared Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.

Just started reading the second TROY novel, "Shield of Thunder" by the recently-late, great David Gemmell!
A bit poignant since he was finally taken by the Big C in July.

Just closed the covers of "America; The Last, Best Hope" by William Bennett (excellent) & "Sword of the Prophet" Serge Trifkovic (frighteningly disturbing)
Just started "Assassin's Apprentice" Robin Hobb & re-reading "The Stars My Destination" Alfred Bester. If heard H'wood is working on a movie of Bester's classic. Lets hope it's not butchered.

Yeah, I've been reading over the night watch books myself. Night Watch still makes me cry. More so than Thud! funnily enough, although I loved that one too.

More graphics available at www.desktophippie.com - yes, I've moved!

DTH, I think the last few I have read have been Thud!, Going Postal, Guards, Guards!, and I'm currently going through Pyramids again. In the recent rearranging, I found a bunch of them I thought I had lost! But, it's also time to get to the bookstore and catch up on the ones I've missed!

Right now I\'m reading \"Carrie\" by Stephen King. I just reached the \"Prom Night\" chapter. This book is a bit scary, and it is way better than the movie with Sissy Spacik.
They did make a remake of the movie Carrie in 1999 or 2000 that follows the book more closely than the one they did in the early 70s. The old movie they made you believe that Carrie just destroyed the school, but in the book and the new movie Carrie destroyed that whole town....scary.
A good tip to live by: Be careful who you mess with.
