It was just a question, not a comment. I was curious. When you say "quite a bit" - does that mean 10 times in your life? 30% of all votes?
For example, I would say that roughly 40% of the time I do not vote for white male democrats. I think it's a subtsantial fraction. OTOH, if I could count on the fingers of two hands how many times I didn't vote for white male democrats, I'd say it showed a strong bias. So I was curious what 'quite a bit' means.

Well, that's what I mean by denial, minimizing, and not caring about evil.
I said Bush lied about WMD. You said he didn't. After it was proved he did, you said so what. I said there was torture. You said there wasn't, it wasn't covered by the Geneva Convetions, and it was just a few bad apples. When it was proven there was, you dropped the issue; never got on board saying torture is bad. The same pattern hold true for many topics - mass warrantless spying on Americans, altering science for politics, etc.
You are always denying, minimizing and ignoring the evil Bush does; EVEN WHEN PROVEN. Therefor you have a motivation to do so, when normal people would come to understand that this pattern says something meaningful about Bush.

So are all white males--Republic, Democrat, Libertarian or whatever--are by virtue of being White and Male a questionable choice? When it comes to Presidential elections, with a few notable exceptions, and not counting write-ins, our Two Party system serves us few other options. Sometimes you need an ugly man to do an ugly job.

I'm not sure what your question is.
In many elections all you get served are choices between two white males - either republican or democrat. And if you want your vote to 'count' you have to vote for a major party anyway. So I can understand how a VERY large fraction of votes fall one way or the other - white male republican/democrat.
But in local races and state races there is usually more choice. So what I was trying to get at is the overall willingness to consider other choices when they are available.

My vote (when exercised) is based on issues, platforms, records, stances and yes, intangibles, not race and sex. (I'm old school: "Gender" is a linguistic term not a sociological one.)

But as for why I support Bush, in no particular order....
Tax cuts - stimulated the economy.
Ambassador John Bolton - mabye W's greatest achievement.
Judges on the US. Supreme Court - Alito and Roberts, I mean. ( I'll forgive him for Meyers )
Taking the gloves off and fighting Islamic terrorism. - Even if he's still kept the glove liners on, he's made the right moves.
The Bush twins are pretty hot, and don't mind a good party. Gotta love that.
First Lady Laura Bush is all class. Unlike the former person to hold that position.
Bush likes tacos and Mexican food instead of McDonalds. ( hmmm...he might like Mexican food TOO much )
His mom looks like our 1st President!
And last......he's the decider!!!

Well, now that we've further defined "support", no, I don't support Bush. But I do support the office of the President, which means I stand behind him to some degree. I don't think he's a very good Prez, I thought Clinton was better, but there's been quite a few crappy P's in the past 230 years.
The Chavez school of Bush hating that seems so rampant throughout the world, including this country, is just silly dramatics, and a pretty low form of discourse altogether. There was a lot of Clinton-hating back in the day, and this is no different, just different people doing it.
To even begin to try to find some kind of moral equivalence between Bush and people like Chavez or Ahmadinejad is asinine and sucks all credibility right out of the discussion from the get go. Educate yourselves, for Pete's sake. But people actually go much further than that. It ticks me off, to be honest, and it's got nothing to do with Bush himself.
He'll be gone soon enough. Only we'll still be hearing the same nonsense from one side or another, because people don't change.
Edit: I'm not sure it's possible to like Mexican food too much.
