wait! wait wait wait wait wait...

did you say up there that Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder both sang on the same album?

wow, why have i never heard that song! its a crim I tell you! ok, so, who's now happy she downloaded itunes?

Oxford Uni? I didn't realise they had one museum let alone four. Wow, so what sort of thing do they do? or do you manage to cover pretty much everything over four museums?

that capital of culture thing it a pile of go-se. the most cultural things about it are the heritage sites and the the music venues - music venues fine, but its a rare thing to have more than one decent band or night around in a week, and of the museums, two are being messed around with, one is closed and one won't even open till 2010. so...

but you could probably occupy yourself for about 3 days, but then you'd have to get out...

ok, add one day for Sefton if lounging around in huge parks is your idea of fun. I know its mine.

Mark, no way am i ever calling you master. Not even if you become The Doctors arch nemesis (one of them)

I call no man master.

but would Sir do?

Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder did sing on the Same album. The album is "Temple of the Dog" as is the band name. Vedder is more of a minor player on it but "Hunger Strike" is all Vedder with Chris doing backup. You've probably heard it on the radio before and thought it was an older Pearl Jam tune... a lot of people I know did. You've probably heard "Say Hello to Heaven" before too... that's one of my favorite songs.

I don't know Helen. I can be pretty persuasive.... but I suppose Sir would be sufficient for now.

we could need an entirely new thread on museums here! For fear of boring everyone with my workplace I'll keep it succinct...

Oxford Uni Museums ( www.ox.ac.uk/museums): Natural History (oldest in world - we have dinosaurs too!); Ashmolean (fine art and archaeology); Pitt Rivers (anthropology and world archaeology); History of Science (more a history of thinking!)

also: Bate (musical instruments), Botanic Garden and an Arboretum

LOL! I'll post my real pic soon. But that little green guy above, for those of you who don't know, is the internet phenomenon known as Fred Fredburger! See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Fredburger
