I do indeed James. My sin is gluttony.
In the same way yours is lust. It's not just all the food stuff (though I do overindulge bit I'm not THAT bad) I glut on a great deal of things that I enjoy. So much so that I tend to ignore other things. Some of them are things I really should be doing instead of indulging my own desires.
I also have a bit of your kind of lust and some of that good old fashined wrath in there.
Now just to make it easier on folk.

I actually have Lady Hawk here and I love that whole almost-together-but-separated-torture *sigh* ...& even when it is hopeless to think they can be reunited they remain true to one another... I love Matthew Broderick too and he's so sweet in that! Can quote most of Ferris Bueler... And I've been involved with all 3 of Neil Simon's loosly autobiographical plays which he workshopped with Mat Broderick - Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues and Broadway bound!
OK - James - I have given this a lot of thought and my sin is very much along the same lines as yours... lust! It is not just physical - though goodness knows... It is wanting to own a topic - know it so well that I can converse with the best of them! I devour text books on a subject that takes my fancy, I watch documentaries and read period novels and just have to know everything! It is not good enough that I have a vague idea - I must know it all! Maybe that's greed a little too...? Oh hell - I'm a fan of all 7!

It is amazing where some of the classic songs originated from. Bob was one of the best. Did you ever see him dance. He could do it all.

I know Bob came from vaudeville, but I don't recall seeing any major dancing. I've seen little soft shoe tapping in some of his movies. Speaking of older stars, I've been curious who is your 1st love? I don't recognize her.

Good morning everyone! I lounged in bed reading today; it was great! Now I have to do laundry, but instead I'm posting here and browsing bigdamnthankyou. No, I am not an addict! 
I feel so out of the loop with some of the movies y'all are mentioning. Oh well...
You know what really bugs me? When everyone I know is saying "Oh you just have to see this movie, it is the best thing you will ever watch!" and then I watch it and it's a total letdown. So many people talk about how great this or that movie is and it pretty much never lives up to the hype. I much prefer the "Hey you might enjoy this movie" approach because then I'm not looking for what's so spectacular about it and I can just enjoy it. For example, I love Spaceballs, but don't think History of the World is that funny. Yeah, I know, I'm sorry. It's strange how I was all prepared to laugh and so it just wasn't as funny. That's why you shouldn't hound anyone to watch a movie.
Wow, sorry, that was a total ramble.
What is my sin? I've got a few. I think lust (yes, the sex kind of lust, what is with you people and lust for learning? 
) pride, wrath, and to a lesser extent envy and sloth have all entered into my life quite a bit. I'm not sure if I could be considered greedy; I'm certainly not greedy enough to compromise my principals. I'm not really gluttonous. Well, unless being obsessive is a form of gluttony? Anyway, maybe I couldn't be said to be a fan of all seven, but damn close.
If we're going into TV shows as guilty pleasures, I like Celebrity Deathmatch. Can't say I even feel guilty about that. My taste doesn't shame me much. I'm the same way with music.
However, those movies that all my friends just love and adore and think are the best things ever that I don't think are that good (Moulin Rouge comes to mind) made me feel guilty in the past. These were the friends who were always telling me to watch this that and the other, but I saw Moulin Rouge before anyone hounded me about it. Didn't really do anything for me, and then I'm listening to everyone quoting it and laughing hysterically. Maybe I just truly didn't enjoy the movies they hounded me to watch, and it wasn't just because I was expecting them to be much better than they were. What a conundrum!

Hello Grogesou Phoenix Rose!
I took a little while to grow to love Moulin Rouge - but my best friend cannot stand it - but then she hates any film where one of the lovers dies... I thought it was very 'Camille', and another friend said it was 'La Boheme' but that might be because Baz Luhrman also designed and directed a production of that opera here in Australia! Similar feel to it.
I never finished watching Pulp Fiction and I don't care who hears me say it - everyone was raving about it and it bored me stupid - I switched it off to go and make a coffee & just never put it back on again... There aren't too many films I have done that with either...
Did I mention that i watched 'Field of Dreams' too this weekend? I love the relationship with Kevin Costner and his wife and the daughter is wonderful too... but James Earl Jones - that man had a voice I could have lived with forever - it does a lot for me - a mans' voice! *sigh* Anyway - Kevin Costner did his best work on baseball movies - funny considering it is not a sport on my radar, but I like his movies which revolve around the game!
No INM - I don't have any friends from there, but I think I know which direction it's in!! You're quite safe telling me tihngs like that! LOL!! I used to spend time in Hanley or Congleton, Biddulph was close, but the pubs were better in Congleton! I also hung out at the Furlong in Tunstall, and the other one in Tunstall Square occassionally... can't remember it's name now...

Im now officially dumped after two months of dating. The girl just didnt feel the same way as I did. Atleast Ive got a new close friend out of the whole mess, but it would have been nice to have something more.

Hey all..
Geesh...one day without the 'net and you all post so much.
My favorite "guilty pleasures" for movies are kind of on the obscure side: Blood of the Samurai, and Harold and Kumar go to White Castle.
Blood of the Samurai -- actually made by people from Hawaii, and such a campy movie (you can actually see tourists in the "back in feudal Japan shots" *heh*)
Harold and Kumar: It's hi-larious to me. It sets up a bunch of sterotypes and knocks 'em down *HARD*.
*blinks* Sin? *scratches head* I don't understand the concept as the western religions see it. So...you could say I'm either "sinless" or "a fan of all seven."
