I know those of you that really love Shakespeare might grimmace at this, but one of my guilty pleasure movies is 10 Things I Hate About You. I don't know, it's just really funny and sorta heartfelt at the same time. I'll usually watch it if it's on TV, which is pretty often. That, and a girl I had a crush on in high school looked very similar to Julia Stiles, so that might be a factor.

What!? That's not a guilty pleasure. That's a good movie. I own that one too.

In fact me and my friend watched that when we saw it was on just last weekend. And we were guests in a house of 4 college guys. Granted they gave us funny looks but we were like "what!? it's good!". I blame my junior year roommate (who was on the road there at the time). He owned the movie on dvd and got me to watch it once. It has good dialogue and is funny. I actually ended up reading taming of the shrew just becuase I liked that movie. The movie's better

I am humbled by everyone's great taste in movies.
And someone who know Eating Raoul !! Now I don't feel like too much of a freak.I quote it often and no one ever gets it .
Not sure I can compete with Sleepless in Seattle though.Scary.
NV - Death Race 2000 holds a treasured place in my collection.
Verseexploreer - So glad to hear Mr.Brooks is well loved.Young Frankenstein is also one of my faves.

I've never seen it.I'm a bit behind & Serenity has been on cable si I've watched that many many times recently.
OK here's a guilty pleasure for you all.I watch soap operas.Have since i was a babe with my mom.
At least 4 different ones.I feel so dirty.

I know I should say that mostly teenage-esque movies are my guilty pleasure (think Bring It On, Center Stage, 10 Things I hate about You, etc etc), but I am loud out and proud of loving those movies, among many other cheesy ones. My only truly dark movie secret is the Olsen Twin stuff. Yes, I've seen it all. Yes, I rented New York Minute on my own. Yes, I've seen all the TV shows.
And I kind of enjoyed it.
Feels good to get that off my chest

There should be no shame it what we watch. If you grew up with soaps and they still hold your interest, watch them proudly. : ) They are your "legal" drug of choice. They can take you away from reality into a world that has far more problems than your own. Enjoy! We'll keep your secret.

Some things have a great deal of value if they remind us of happy when we were younger.

I searched my collection and tried to find something most of you might remember, but this is my guilty pleasure. "The Lemon Drop Kid" with Bob Hope.
I know, your like, what is that? Well it is one of my Christmas traditions. I watch several videos on my Christmas break and this is always one of them.
Now I feel my 54, soon to be 55 years catching up with me.

I used to watch the Olsen Twin movies!
Wow! I forgot about those.
Now for me! I agree with the earlier mentions of Ladyhawk. I will actually watch almost anything with Rutger Hauer in it (don't ask me why) and that a very mixed bag. I like that movie quite a bit but there are problems. Yes, the music is corney but waht really had me shredding things was the wardrobe. Who designed that crap?!??! And the super human strength that would be required to accomplish the sword throwing scenes. Lots of movies do that and it bugs me.
I also must admit to "Legend"
Hey, I'm a sucker for fantasy. Ryhming goblins and Tim Curry as the Devil! And Unicorns!
There's also Escape from LA. Kurt Russel and John Carpenter. I love that combination in general but this is my favorite.
And now for the really big one. Has anyone here ever seen the Ewok movies? Yeah. Those. I own them on DVD. They are NOT good movies but I just can't seem to help it. Maybe it has fond assocciations with my childhood.

Aaaah, Traveler, you're stretching my memory. I know quite a few old Bob Hope movies, but I had to go to IMBd to check this one out.
Once I saw the pic, it started to come back to me. It introduced the song "Silver Bells" a great Christmas classic.
