Hello wonderful people!!
Well for an idea off the top of my head you guys went with it and have meade me laugh so much!
I went to bed for 10 mins and woke up three-and-a-half housrs later - and guess what's on TV that I have never ever seen??? A Knights Tale??? There's Wash!! ...I mean Alan Tudyk!! So I imagine I will enjoy that - for all the right resons of course!
So ... the Crying Game? I went to see that with my Dad & he was more embarrassed than I was - to be sure!
There is an Australian film calle 'Monkey Grip which was released in the mid-late 1980s - it starred a Play School presenter, Noni Hazeljurst & Colin Friels - and involved many explicit sex scenes - which since I was just 18 at the time were pretty educational - but my 16-year-old sister and I were wishing the ground would open up and swallow us!

I will look that one up because I am a huge Mark Harmon fan - used to lovwe St Elsewhere in the 80s and never have got over him! (...ooops - did I write that - Out loud?)
EDIT: Ah the joy of postal-overlap! Hello dear Mav - I am so glad that your containerly woes are behind you! And... yes as a *cough* ...fan... of Steel Magnolia's I do think you would not enjoy it! I love the accents though! (I'd love to do the play one day - though I suspect I am looking at a different role to the one I used to covet!)

Knights Tale has to be my guilty pleasure movie, too. Generally, I am a stickler for historical accuracy in movies (Gladiator made me twitch numerous times), so I was fully expecting to be disappointed by this one...and I was. But. But, when the first thing I heard was Queen music during the first joust, I decided to suspend belief and just enjoy it...and I really did. So, yes, that is my guilty pleasure movie.
This thread is ours, which means anyone should be able to start a new thread if the old one gets too long. Makes me happy that people wnat to keep it going!

Morning all!
Guilty pleasure move.... Pretty much any Horror movie I guess. But my guilty pleasure horror would have to be Jason X. It came out about 5 years ago and I laughed so hard through the entire move! Ther is this scene where Jason is walking through a "Hollow Suite" and it is just the funniest thing ever written.
Also there is no shame in liking Mallrats! All hail Kevin Smith (To a lesser degree than Joss of course)!

Hi Kelkhil! I have another guilty pleasure now that you remind me of it - the Scream trilogy - they are so funny/scary! Silly things but my best friend is too scared to watch them... I like the humour!
And I too disliked 'Gladiator', never saw what all the fuss was about... but I am enjoying A Knights Tale for all the same reasons - it is not supposed to be taken seriously and it is really corney at times, but I'm enjoying many of the comic aspects... it's just when a film wants to be taken seriously and it sucks that I can't stand it!
...Heath Ledger would apprear to have a skinny, hairless chest though... bit disappointing that...
(Not that I care if any of my FFmen have skinny &/or hairless chests - just that someone with Heath Ledgers voice shouldn't look quite so 'adolescent' when he takes off his shirt...

Afternoon from the UK, fellow browncoats (it's 3:11pm over here)! To my chagrin, I will admit that I don't post much on the FFF.net forums so I thought I'd make a start right here.
My guilty pleasure movie would have to be either the aforementioned Knight's Tale or the fantastic Spirited Away. In my circle of friends, Japanese animations in general are seen as this weird, almost alien, art form which is basically abnormal. From some anime I've encountered in the past, I can see why this would be so. But, this gorgeous little film has kinda opened my mind to the whole genre. The artwork is phenomenal, the characters are relatable, the script is a little naive for my liking, but it's a PG, so I'll let Miyasaki off. It's just one of those films that, if you can suspend cynicism for a while, just makes you feel better about the world...and in my view, we all need a film like that.

Hello INeverMarried! - what part of the UK are you from? It's 12.30am on Saturday here folks (Yes - hello from tomorrow Tristan!!) and I am watching A Kinights Tale as I type this - "Oh No! They've found out he's not really who he says he is!!" (...and Alan Tudyk's hair is funny!LOL!)
I understand the anime thing too - not that I am in to it these days, but when I was a child my friends thought me a little weird that I loved 'Kimba the White Lion' and 'Astro Boy' so much - it was their eyes and the funny way they spoke that I adored!
