From today's Hollywood Reporter:

Meanwhile, David Alan Basche has been cast as Wilbur Post in Fox's remake of the 1960s comedy "Mister Ed"; and Nathan Fillion in Fox's drama pilot "Hollywood Division."

In "Hollywood Division," about undercover cops at a Hollywood high school, Fillion will play a police detective; he replaces Matthew Settle who was originally cast in the role.

Fillion, best known for his role on the ABC comedy "Two Guys and a Girl," previously starred in Fox's short-lived drama "Firefly."

Why does it have to be on Fox????
This means I have to end my Fox Boycott! NO!

Still, Nathan is worth sucking it up and tuning in to Fox...but I don't have to like it.

And I'm going to have to change the channel at the commericals: having to watch an American Idol or some other reality show ad could lead to suicide.

Undercover cops at a high school?

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................

"21 Jump Street" anyone?

I mean, I'm sure Nathan will be fine. . .but I bet Alan and Gina call him up FREQUENTLY for purposes of giggling at him.

"Wash. . .we got some local color happening. A grand entrance would not go amiss."

I'm glad for Nathan, especially since his NBC pilot didn't pan out. He's too good an actor to fade away - but I guess I would say that about the entire Firefly crew as well. So, yay for him - and I hope the rest of them get some good opportunities too. Especially Ron Glass.

But I also had the "21 Jump Street" thought, before STATIC beat me to the punchline.

Well there is always VCR and/or TIVO, then you can skip the commercials outright, or at least fast forward them. But then you'd have icky FOX ads on your tape.
