Aha, Max, I am relieved. When I first read down the thread, I thought I'd suffered a short-term memory blowout. Then went back to discover that yes, there *were* two different names, but had to question if perhaps you (Max and Chap) were a couple.

And now, as we sail rapidly toward 23,000 members, I see SirFrancis coming up the ramp. That'll take care of the second dish of strawberries. :-)

Max and SirF, y'all come on up to the galley and question the buffet. Lots of crew up there discussing things and chowing down. Plates are at the forward end of the table, shimmerwine fountain at the after end. Ice-planets in the cooler, bottom shelf. We've been re-supplied with six flavors, so rummage around until you find what you like.

Please try not to step on ShipsCat, or into her dish.

9/30 Happy AnniVersary, BDM!

Welcome to all ye Newbies! And thanks to the Welcome Mule for all the greetin's and hot totties. Were we a true cult, I'll believe ChapMax, er, MaxChap just got "love bombed". The difference here is that once yer rank & file, you still get love bombs. Finding this thread tonight was like that.

'Course like anywhere else in the 'Verse there's places you'd best steer clear of if you're faint of heart. But the good news flip side of that is there ain't nuthin'--NUTHIN' I say--as a good old bar fight. Just don't have it at the Forsaken Pub. They're just honest folk, that venture to their favorite virtual watering hole to have a good time. If fisticuffs are your purticular wont, there's some dandy places to go. Sadly, not all fights be according to Hoyle, but you can always just leave the ring. [Jayne pockets the ring. No, you dolt. Not that kind of ring! Puts ring back on table.]

There are even groups within groups and groups of groups and ungroups and anti-groups. It's like a Firefly Mall. Go out and explore. Seek out new life and new civili...oops. Sorry. You get the drift.

"Well, here I am."

Never quite got that. It's the "You-got-the-cure-for-his-repression-Nurse-Chapel" syndrome. And you know he can be "cured" because he looks like Satan . But me, I don't get it.

Pardon, ma'am, but I reckon I don't rightly know what that might be referin' to. You said anyone could be in it, but I'm in it already at least twice a day, so maybe you're talkin' 'bout somethin' else?

And you tell that man o' yours that the trial can just wait and he needs to join up right now.

Fingers and toes crossed here for ya, too.

Buff as in Buffy? Help me out here...

Sexy Kirk...You didn't by chance see the God-awful Shatner roast on ComedyCentral, did you? (yes, it had it's moments, but Schat-illogical "humor" can you cram, er, put in a two hour show? Well, when you have Andy Dick and George Takei sitting on the same dias, apparently quite a lot. Bill for his part sat with this really weird, frozen expression of "yes, I'm smiling but not sure why" that only broke once toward the end when he actually was amused (sadly I don't remember the bit).

Sexy Spock made an appearance at the very beginning in a badly scripted, badly acted (Leonard! we expect more, gorrammit!) pre-recorded phone skit.

The whole thing made me feel unwashed and unwashable.

If you did see it, sorry for the needless recap. If you saw it and enjoyed it, I'm afraid we're going to have to put you in the airlock.

No, I did not see it...you made me laugh again!

... William Shatner...that is another story...

BTW- Leonard is really a wonderful photographer...He is mostly into hands. Hint- hint-

As far as your dogs: 65 pounds!!!!!!!!!! I have two chow chows and they are the friendliest dogs ever...Chows have a bad reputation...but I think is all about the owners and the way a dog is raised...What kind of dogs you have?

FYI: BUFF means- Browncoats United Firefly Forever.

Nice talking to you! I love to see pictures of where you live!

Have a good one and you all Browncoats Members and BUFF members!

No bigger turn-on for a self-absorbed quasi-comedian than an audience that gets his/her humor.

Wow, he is good. http://www.leonardnimoyphotography.com/
But he seems to be more into nudes than hands...

Er, beg to differ: sounds a bit like the same story...but in typical over the top Shatner fashion

[couldn't find the real deal yet, but this is pretty close to the way Shat's face was for the WHOLE Butt Roast, maybe a bit more strained. Now I'm thinking maybe Botox?

WOW! Nice place! Love the dogs! Oh my Gosh...they seem to be having such a great time. I will post pictures as soon as I get everything straight...

I just moved and I am still dealing with the movers...They broke and scratched so many things...I can not even keep count anymore...

On a related note:

IMHO it seems that more and more people just "go to the THE JOB" ... in other words, just show up, if so..., and then don't even try to do the job...going the extra mile is rapidly dissapearing and what is even worse is that we put up with the bad customer service beacuse if not, we are viewed as complainers or as bia...tches. (forgive me please if I broke any rules) Now that I am almost done with my complaints...I feel like taking it up with the alliance and do this...

Let's move on to another topic:

Leonard Nimoy's Pictures...Very well done. He said it was his second passion...not sure as to what was the first one...

About William Shatner: I agree with you...my MIL (mother in law) also thinks the exact same way than you about William Shatner...the current W.S. ... but I am totally talking about The W.S. on the original series... ah!!!! Capt. Kirk...breaking hearts all throughtout the galaxy...where no man has gone before, seeking new lives...new...ah...even the aliens went crazy for him...

Now that I have had my fun...I am ready to go to work.

It has been a real pleasure exchanging info and websites with you! Hope to be able to post a picture of my doggies here soon! Ciao

Today I came across something very touching...is called:

A Lesson in Humanity

Years AGO, a 10-YEAR-OLD BOY APPROACHED the counter of a soda and climbed on to a stoll. "What does an ice cream sundae cost?" he asked the waitress.

"Fifty cents" she answered.

The youngster reached deep in his pockets and pull out an assortment of change, counting it carefully as the waitress grew impatient. She had "bigger" customers to wait on.

"Well, how much would just plain ice cream be? the boy asked.

The waitress responded with noticeable irritation in her voice, "Thirty-five cents."

Again, the boy slowly counted his money. "May I have some plain ice cream in a dish then, please? He gave the waitress the correct amount and she brought him the ice cream.

Later, the waitress returned to clear the boy's dish and when she picked it up, she felt a lump in her throat. There on the counter the boy had left two nickels and five pennies. She realized that he had enough money for the sundae, but sacrificed it so that he could leave her a tip.

The moral: Before passing judgement, first treat others with courtesy, dignity, and respect.

Adapted from a Lifetime of Success Pat Williams Fleming H Revell

Do you have a story like this one?
