In case you hadn't noticed Joss was talking about Serenity in his intro, NOT Firefly! Also, given what I know of Joss, which, granted isn't that much, He's a bit of a jokester, so, I'm certain he meant that comment to be taken with a grain of salt. To second the other TRUE Browncoats on this site, we as fans are doing EVERYTHING in our power to keep fighting. If you want to loose faith, be my guest, but I'm keeping it!

Sherrift is another goof, or a one time troller; this is a stupid post anyway...should we not like Blade Runner too, since we are left hanging, with no sequel possible?
FF/Serenity is a good and complete story, and if we never get any more vis-a-vis movies or TV, I will still have them on my shelf right next to the best SF mankind has dabbled in and gotten to the screen.

I agree he is a goof, however in my very short time here I have noticed an unrealistic optimism on this board. There will never be another BDS. Everyone has moved on, Adam's new show is going to be a huge hit and will keep him busy for years to come. We would be very lucky to get another BDM (if it's even possible) with Joss taking on other projects and such. Joss has blamed fans for the failure it's in the extras.
And we can have all the hope in the world, but we should know it's unfounded and will never come to fruition.
That being said, I think it would be very foolish to not watch the series and movie because you would be left hanging. Every show comes to an end, some prematurely, others long after they jump the shark. Enjoy one of the greatest shows ever. And be thankful that it was even made.

The impossible was done. So that means it can't be done again? Nonsense.
The actors loved their work on this. And to all those who say they have "moved on" they still have a standing contract for a sequel or two to Serenity, and those contracts have another year to go for Universal to greenlight a sequel. Not to film, to be greenlighted. I would say that's a nice piece of hope to snuggle up with.

I like the idea of a spelling thread. Something that has continually astounded me is the high quality of written English on this site - I am English (not US) so do find the different spellings a little trying at times, however the rest of the English is a pleasant change from the rubbish we read in the papers every day, and comes from such a range of ages and people! MSG and PR as always are leading the way, holding the line, and kicking butt! I stand with you.
