The ones that are after the entrance to the cargo bay, lead upwards and are angled toward the cargo bay.

Onw of two options:
Right after the doors, on the left are the stairs that lead up to the Crew Quarters, Bridge and Kitchen. (No Pictures)
The one further along leads to a platform, that then leads up to the gantry's. Seen better in these pictures: http://www.runner.ch/firefly/index_schiff_frachtraum.html

leads to that little corner of no and where :p (just more cargo space. Never saw behind there, necer needed too...)
