I'm another recruit from after the first movie came out. There are a lot of us who are kicking ourselves that we weren't signed up in time to swell the Serenity box office (and I see that you do too). The deep fanbase gets wider every day. I think Universal has twigged to our breadth and large disposable income.

Nobody has mentioned De Candido's about face. In earlier interviews about future books, he said that the ball was in Joss' court because he was sitting on several proposals. At D*C he says NDA. Are some of those proposals being considered as future film plots?

Maybe books, maybe comics, maybe a mini-series, maybe direct to video, maybe a new BDS or BDM. Whatever irons Joss has, I will buy anything, even phantom tickets for opening day.

Stop trying to bring logic to my faith.

I'd actually like to hear more about this. Or was it just a passing comment about a fellow cast member?

Sean, of all of them, seems to be the most shy and reclusive. So its always nice to hear someone talk about him.

Bad2Verse....you have given me hope again. I appreciate the research you have done to come to your opinion and I'm on board. Being in sales, I understand the little things said and un-said. The way people say things and the way they say them differently again tells a story.
I prefer to have hope and be dissapointed, then to think a sequel is unlikly and then suprised.

At the start of Dragon*Con, Alan was SAYING he knew NOTHING about further books/novelizations/movies continuing the 'verse", even going so far as saying "Am I in them?" about the books/continuation-of-the-'verse. Anyone here that was at the first Q&A session at Dragon*con disagree with that summary?

Yes, I can. I thought he misunderstood the question asked, which was basically "have you read the movie novelization" except jumbled up with a whole lot of other words. He took the meaning as "have you read any of the firefly books out there" (of which there aren't any I know of, so he didn't know of them either). And Summer took the question as thinking it was asking about fan fiction. They couldn't hear it quite right. He did mention after that, that all he had was the movie novilization, which he hasn't read yet.

I want you to be right bad2verse, and am not attacking your thoughts in any way, but I do thinki what your saying is a stretch, even if it is a possibility.

Ah, you gotta love the Browncoats.

This may be the only place in the 'verse where less news is better news, and no news at all is the best possible news.

Hi Boomer,

Did you by chance film the Eulogy read by Alan at either the Wake or the panel? I wrote it and I really would like to get a copy of any video if possible.

No, we didn't do any filming this weekend (just some little stuff on our camera), and we had left the Wake by the time Alan got there. I'm sure someone else can help you, though!

Xanderesque, would it be alright if we posted one of your Wake pictures on our website? We'd like to show Alan wearing our lanyard. If not, it's cool!

If you want to wait till this weekend, I should have most of the Firefly-related DragonCon stuff transferred and transcoded. I'd be happy to mail you a DVD, send you a file via GMail or AIM, or set up a torrent for you, your call.

p.s. Seeing as I'm in South Carolina, maybe I should join the Seebkuh ranks?
