Visual Companion Planets----anything established?

As we all know, a number of planets were listed in the Serenity Visual Companion which have not appeared in the movie or series.

As part of my work on Escape Velocity: Firefly, I am of course including these planets. But, in an effort to keep things at least somewhat consistent, I was wondering whether any other fanfiction or fan projects have established anything significant about them.

I know Regina was mentioned in Firefly: Old Wounds, the audio drama. Unfortunately, they seemed to assume it was rather farther from the Core than I did. I'd like to minimize such discrepancies with other fan projects as much as is practical----so, if any of you have read or encountered a story dealing with these worlds, let me know.

I'm particularly interested in Harvest, Angel, Lian Jiunn, Prouin, Deadwood, Three Hills, Salisbury, Aberdeen, Whittier, Muir, Highgate, and Kerry.

I think I read somewhere that Muir was near Dyton, a mining colony and the moon that Badger grew up on.

Deadwood - I've personally put that out towards the Rim, just on account of the origins of the name. (And made it Jayne's home planet, too - it seemed to fit.)

I'd imagine that Aberdeen and Kerry might also be out near Dyton. Highgate might be nearer Londinium (it's a fairly flash area of modern London.) Salisbury is also a fairly upmarket town, so that may also be Core, rather than Rim.

A good idea might be to research the original names of anything Chinese sounding. Joss doesn't name anything without reason (though I think Angel might just be a piss-take) Though Canton is actually a town in Georgia, just north of Cobb County...

LOL! Maybe one day Joss was driving through Georgia and, seeing the roadsigns, thought, "Hmm, I think I'll use those names in my new TV show."

Hmmm, there's also a Canton in Ohio , and we have one in N. Carolina , which seems like a nice-enough place . If Adam were to be available , we could have a Hero's reunion . Any excuse for a 'shindig' . 'Course , the folk there might take offense at being a 'crappy' town full o' Mudders...

Keep the Faith . Share the Love . Feel the Joy !

I read that Kerry is a blackrock with some moons around it. Can't remember which ones though.

And isn't Lian Jiun (sp) the place where them hillfolk took River and Simon on their best day ever? I'm too lazy to check the Firefly Wiki, but I'm sure any and all info that exists is there!

"Prouin" is actually Paquin. The font used makes it a little hard to make out.

I talked with Alan Tudyk, Summer Glau AND the Guy that wrote the Novel from the script, AND in the discussion group on "The Firefly 'verse" at dragon*Con yesterday, and they ALL said that Joss made a POINT of saying that the 'verse was ONE BIG Solar System, and that they knew it didn't make Sense (as in How could one solar system hold all those planets, moons, etc), but that it was ONLY ONE big Solar system and that's the way Joss insisted it be.

I have no preference, that's just what we were told "From the Horse's Mouth" (So to Speak).
