My memory is good if it happened over 30 years ago. Now ask me what I did yesterday.

It's sad and it's sweet and I new it complete many moons ago. In a John Wayne movie called "Horse Soldiers" his cavalry brigde is hiding in some woods as a Confederate cavalry unit marches by singing Bonnie Blue Banner. They did an excellent job. They sounded sad because they were so far from home.

I don't know the song, so I can't get it stuck in my head. I've seen Gone with the Wind a couple of times, but I don't remember the song itself. I haven't seen all that many John Wayne movies either, so that doesn't help!

I think I know the dustpan one though. We used to learn it as a harmony to another song.

I'm currently stuck on Have You Heard the Germen Band, AKA Haben See Gehoist. We just rented The Producers the other day...

It keeps popping up at work, in German.

hello Desktophippie:

"Horse Soldiers" was not one of John Wayne's best. It just had that song in it. Actually I don't think you hear the song in "Gone With The Wind", but Brett does mention it when he names his daughter.

The best John Wayne I've ever seen is "The Searchers" with a young Natalie Wood in it, and "Red River" that included Montgomery Cliff.

You think I watch to many movies?

Life is not long enough to see them all.

Wow, I had The Hero of Canton stuck in my head all week until a small family tragedy got me singing "You can't take the sky from mee-eee" in the car all day today.

I've had both songs stuck in my head for multiple days, but hey it least it's a distraction when I get really bored at work.

"You're talking to Serenity. And Early...Serenity is very unhappy."

Actually the baby's name is Eugenia Victoria, but they nicknamed her Bonnie Blue.

I only remember him huggering her and mentioning the name. But I suspect Scarlet had the last word on that like she did on most everything else.

Thanks Patience, I will have to rent that movie again. It has been to long since I last saw it.

I repeat myself, is having a 'Verse song stuck in your head a bad thing? I can understand other songs, but a 'Verse song, bad? Ever?

May not be smart, and it may not please you, but you're definitely gonna see what I have to say.
