I don't know that many people. I'm 54 so I probably have met more than you. Because of my father I grew an interest in the personal conflict the people face who protect us from harm.

I have also read some very good books.
The one that really got to me was "Ghost Soldiers" by Hampton Sides.

I'm sure you know enough to fill volumns. This iswhat I've learned from listening to veterans.

Hello Marine:

When I learned what my father did during WWII, I said to my mother, "Dad was a hero."

She replied, "They all were."

My mother has surpized with her deep wisdom on occasion.
