Whew!!!!!!!!!!! It felt so weird to work again! lol
I really like what I've seen so far. It is really a people-oriented company. They really seem to care about making us feel welcome and appreciated. I really think this will be a great place for me!
The ice machine delivers ice, water, or both! lol
The lunchroom is 3 times the size of the one at my last job...even with 1/3 the people! Lots of casual days, plus a birthday holiday! This year I'll get an extra day the week of Thanksgiving!
Friday is funny hat day...the winner gets a prize...I wish I had a Jayne hat! lol

I am up and watching the BDM and packing for D*C, having a bit of a smoke.
I will contribute to the vicarious visual and written experiences of DragonCon, as I plan to take lots of pictures and meet lots of people, hopefully even some of you.
MSG, those recipes look really damn good. Do you mind sharing them at all? If not, you can message me on my profile or e-mail me, as I am interested in having them. If so, well, that's cool too.
I am still waiting for FutureMrsFillion to accept/decline my self imposed title, but I have decided to be an evil vizier to help to balance out the high priestesses and such.

Again I have to gloat over my new title. Call me Master Marshall (that's my real surname by the way and it sounds better said in a posh British accent!)
I got my results today. 58% on my dissertation. Not as good as I'd hoped but better than I'd feared considering it all fell to pieces at the end.
So, tell me about this fantastic con that everyone's going to. Who will be there that I should be jealose of you all meeting? Is it going to be very quiet on here for the next few days?

Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA. From what I saw it is mainly a gaming con. However, the beautiful Summer Glau will be there. As will, I believe, the handsome Alan Tudyk. Adam Baldwin was to be there, but has pulled out.
Yes, the site is likely to be quiet. However, we can't all go, so many (myself included 
) will be here, bemoaning our fates. When it's over (or I suppose during, depending on access) I'm sure we will get a full accounting!

RiverIsMyGoddess, we are mostly packed, but the wife and I will be redoing everything tonight to be sure we aren't missing anything...we leave tomorrow around 4:00 GA time. Should put us there around 6:00 or so GA time. Looking forward to meeting you!
Emma, sorry, Master Marshall, congrats on the 58%! (If that is a good thing) I'm glad we were sorta along for the ride on that one! PR pretty much nailed D*C, so I don't have much to add. It will be a bit quieter around here until Tuesday or so, though...a number of us will be attending. Wish you could go!
PR, not sure I have said this yet, but I am glad you are back. Wouldna been the same here without you.
