Good for you Simon!

I just recently joined the GateWorld forum over there and read that there has been some talk of a move to movies.

I've not been a fan of StarGate SG-1 for long, slightly longer than Firefly. But I hate to see it end. I like it very much.

Waiting for SG-1 to come on is what got me into Firefly.. they were showing a marathon before the start of the new season in 2005.

Have you heard about there being a move to movies too?

Hi FollowMal,

No - I hadn't! Right, gonna nip to the forums right away! (lol) but I think movies is a logical step and would in fact be great to do - they could then end the Ori story in spectacular fashion (and maybe - haven't seen season 10 yet so don't shout at me if I'm ignorant of events here) get Morena back onto the big screen where she belongs.

I do agree with comments raised above that it doesn't matter whether you're a Gater, Browncoat or Trekkie/er (hell, I'm all 3) or whatever you are - this is a loss for the Sci-Fi world in general, and we all know the pain of losing a loved show, even after 15 episodes or 10 years.

Right, I've already said waaaaay too much here, so I'll shut the hell up and stop hogging this gorram thread...(going back to lurking....)

- Shiny. Let's be bad guys.

yea, that's kinda sucky, seems like horrid timing just as they have this huge celebration over their 200th episode they go and find out this is it.

It has had a good run though, I just hope they wrap it up and don't leave it hanging cuz that would suck. Of course that means having only 15 episodes to defeat the Ori, the most powerful enemy they've yet faced, but still, I hope they can pull off a nice ending.

"Haha, mine is an evil laugh."

Well for my part I'm very sad to see it go. Yes it isn't the same after RDA's departure but how could it not be different? They had thought about ending SG1 with RDA leaving and starting it new as Stargate Command but they decided it was better to keep the name and not go through a rebranding.

I basically grew up watching SG1, and I'm not ready to see it go. I know 10 seasons is a long time and I'm happy for that amount of time. But I'm not going to be happy about seeing it go.

There is already a campaign to save it, if anyone is interested:
