Hey, that was my advice too! That cartoon nazi must be alright. Does he have a Hitler like moustache? If he does, tell him he should shave it.... FYI....You should take your finger out of your ass. It could be bad for your health if left in to long. And your going on what? Three hours. Well it's true.

now i know that the vampire concepts are very different in the B:tvs & Angel 'verses to Hellsing (i mean come on, no ghouls) but seriously, how cool would that be!
would they team up? dont think the city's big enough for both...!
Of course, Alucard is pretty clearly hinted to be Dracula himself, and Spike (allegedly) knows drac personally. "Buffy vs. Dracula" isn't necessarily relevant, since Spike never managed to lay eyes on "that" Dracula --it's possible he wasn't who he claimed to be (note that reality was being rewritten during that ep, making everything suspect).
The Hellsing organization has similarities to both the Initiative and the Council of Watchers --it could easily be a CoW creation based on the (American) Initiative Project. Of course, Wolfram & Hart's Senior Partners would definitely be interested in gaining control of such a group, and we know they have extra-dimensional interests. . .
The "superpowered" vampires that Alucard fights are pretty different from the Buffyverse variety, but I don't think Alucard would have much of an advantage --bullets don't bother Angel.
'Course, it'd be worth it just to see Spike mocking Alucard's fashion sense.

First of all, Kaneman and Sixshooter...if you're going to such trolls, you should go to the troll area and mix with your own kind. It is incredibly disapointing to witness such rudeness and close-minded attitudes within the Browncoats. Both of you are a disgrace to yourselves and to the community and i am ashamed to call you fellow Browncoats. In the future if you don't know what someone is talking about and/or are not fans of the subject, maybe you should NOT reply and simply leave the thread, instead of acting like such bastards.
BernardBrowncoat, while the idea of Alucard in Angel is interesting, i don't think it would work. some things just don't translate well out of context. Although i do agree with Cybersnark in that it would totally be worth it just to hear Spikes comments on the outfits the Hellsing gang all wear!
GRRR.....ARGGHH

If I follow your reasoning, Spaceballs and Serenity are both sci-fi movies about chasing people in spaceships, so why differentiate them farther into "sciFi-satire" and "sciFi-adventure"? They're exactly the same and should be called the same, right?
You're quite right, anime and "loony toons" are both animation. The word anime is a Japanese word that came from the English word animation. Since there is usually a significant difference between the styles and stories of Japanese Anime and the cartoons that you call "loony
toons" and the term 'anime' has been carried over into English.case in point, hellsing is about a female police officer bitten by a vampire (who hunts and kills other vampires) and her struggle to remain human in spite of the fact that she IS a vampire and needs to drink human blood to survive. It is very violent, very bloody and I would question any parent who would let their children watch such cartoons.
I'm not trying to argue with you on whether Anime is good or bad. You have just as much right to dislike anime as I do to like it. I'm just trying to explain where the term comes from and how it differs from loony toons and other western animation.

I agree w/goat: the term anime covers a huge variety of Japanese animation
Pokeman - which I think is lame
Akira - which I love
Spirited Away & Howl's Moving Castle & others - which I think are some of the best animation done today anywhere in the world
I've never seen any Alucard, but I do know that to lump all anime together and write it off is pretty silly.
