The Jupiter mining corporation vessel 'Starbug' from Red Dwarf (my first favourite show). After all it does have the most advanced warning/alert system known in sci-fi.
Rimmer 'Step up to Red Alert'.
Kryten 'Are you really sure?...It does mean changing the bulb'
'Poor little thing. Never even saw the light of day, now its in showbusiness!'

HAL is the ship's computer. The spaceship in 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY is called the Jupiter 2. I have to admit it was a pretty sweet ride, despite the fact that it was slow as all Hell, although the trip through the Star Gate (the real one, not the ones in the Stargate franchise or CONTACT) would make up for it.
Here's one no one mentioned yet. The Planet Express Ship from FUTURAMA.
"Oh for Heaven's Gate, Professor. This ship can do 99% light speed. Why are we going at 30 MPH?"
"Because we're in a hurry, that's why."

"There's only one "Return" ok, and it ain't "of the King", it's "of the Jedi."
"Maybe we should start calling your friend 'Padme' because he loves 'Mannequin Skywalker' so much, Right? (imitating robot) Danger...danger...my name is Anakin...my shitty acting is ruining saga."
Excerpt of internet teaser for CLERKS 2.

Not to be rude correcting you but I believe the Jupiter 2 is from Lost in Space. Discovery is the name of the ship in 2001.
My favorite BTW is The Defiant from DS9--small but full of piss and vinegar!

Oh I don't know, I love the 'Falcon for sure, but there are a lot of others that rank.
I suppose it would depend on what I was using it for really.
I mean, if I'm using it for military purposes I'd probably go with a Mon-Cal Cruiser or the new Galactica (Yes the Pegasus can kick more ass but the interiors feel lifeless.).
And then, you know, if I were out and about doing crime I'd probably go with the 'Falcon or the TARDIS (Come on, it's the ultimate criminal device.).
And finally, if I were out with the intention of just kicking around the galaxy in a big space Winnebago I'd probably go with Moya, the Sattelite of Love, or something similar.

I'd have to say Thor's Asguard ship in SG-1, I forgot the name but that thing was awsome.

I'd like to put in a word for the EA Destroyers in B5. They were such beautifully ugly ships.

Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Soyuz....
Anyway my favorite is one of the real ones - the Saturn V/Apollo combination. Raw power behind elegant engineering and the only spaceship that's taken people to another world (admitedly an utterly lifeless tidally locked and very near world.)

I wondered how long it would be before someone pointed out how many there really were! Thank you, daveshayne!

I'll have to go with the TARDIS herd with Moya and the Liberator tied for second (Talyn was too unstable...I wouldn't ant to be mindlinked with something that was more than slightly insane.)
But for automobiles...I want Bessie! (older Whovians know this one, too!) Much better than a Bond car!
