I think Joss was supposed to be at the con, but whether he was at the awards ceremony is not certain. If not, maybe Jane Espenson accepted it for him, since she was there to present the award for the Short Form Dramatic Hugo, which went to Doctor Who.

This is great news and i think now it is going to start stiring some questions on why they took FF of the air. I really hope that they will look closer into bring it back and then, even then making a second installment in Serenity.
