Absolutely love LOVE LOOOOOVE Mystery Science Theater 3000!!!
Started watching in the early Joel days on Comedy Central.
Went to the first ever MST3K "Where's the Cheese?" Convention in Minnesota.
Taped tons of shows when they were first broadcast, have several DVDs now, and will most certainly be getting more in the future.
A quote line I use on another message board is, "Every frame of this movie looks like someone's last known photograph."
Pic taken at the first MST3K Expo-Fest-O-Rama. So happy to meet Trace Beaulieu... he was incredibly patient, generous and gracious to all the fans... plus... hot!

One of my favorite shorts has to be Coily the spring sprite. "Where does Coily fit into God's Plan?"
I just Watched Overdrawn at the Memory Bank. My god. Where do they dig up these movies.
Hobgoblins. Uhg.

Op: You're fighting a war you've already lost.
Mal: Yeah, well I'm known for that.

I miss MST3K!
My MST3K memorys:
When Mary Jo Pehl, as Pearl Forrester, ad-libbed and called Crow "Art". Mike was losing it, and I swear I heard people cracking up on the set!
"Quest of the Delta Knights" -- MalsWay said to me, "Looks like a bunch of rennies running around in garb." In the credits at the end of the movie, "Thanks to the Northern California Renaissance Faire..."
--Karel.
"Wonderous is our great blue ship that sails around the mighty sun and joy to everyone that rides along." -- Jeff Lynne, Electric Light Orchestra.

Checking in. A television milestone. I can remember sitting around as kids watching old bad movies SciFi and Horror just naturally lend themselves to this and doing much the same thing. MST3K hit a (sub-)cultural nerve as I suspect many of us shared similar experiences.
Another fun thing we did was record some of the soundtrack of a romantic movie on our portable reel-to-reel tape recorders (and later cassettes!) and play them back to Star Trek reruns. Sometime the dialog would line up just right and hilarity would ensue. It was like "Peyton Space" if you're old enough to get that one.
"Well, here I am."

Oh, good times!
My daughter and I got in on MST3K late in the game, when Mike and the bots did the show on SciFi. We'd watch every episode and howl with laughter and then talk about it all week.
Pu-Ma-Man has to be my fave one!
My daughter loves Tom Servo, I love Crow. She still cracks up when you say "hover-skirt"!
I miss all the incarnations of the show.
Ask me how to join the Appreciatin' Nathan Crew!
