Recipes for Shindigs, anyone?

here's one:

Strawberries in brown coats

Buy, barter for, or steal (if you must) fresh ripe strawberries and a bag of semisweet chocolate chips.

Wash the strawberries in fresh water and pat them dry.

Melt the chocolate over a double boiler (if you are in the Outer Planets) or in a microwave (if you are somewhere near the Core). Stir the chocolate so the texture is even. If you are over 21, stir in a tablespoon of your favorite spirits or liqueur (the good stuff, not Mudder's Milk).

Pick each strawberry up by the leaves on top and carefully dip it into the chocolate. (Try not to burn your fingers, please - the Doctor's busy treating gunshot wounds again.) Set each dipped berry on wax paper.

Let them cool in the refrigerator until the chocolate is set. Share them with that special shipmate or with the whole gorram crew.
