Entertainment Weekly has their fall preview issue out (apparently anyway, since the only EW I could find at Borders was a Sopranos special issue). I believe this is the same article, only online (I could be wrong on that). There are no real spoilers, just some basic background stuff on the characters and what not. Its at: http://www.ew.com/ew/report/0,6115,345660~3~0~welookatfirefly,00.html . Read and enjoy.

"It looks like a great adventure...That's what it is; that's what it feels like. When I saw the pilot, it was really engaging. It was exciting. It was unusual. It threw me off every now and then. I think people will be grabbed by it." - Ron Glass, on the pilot, during an interview with the Indianapolis Star

Love this quote:

Enterprise are pussies. They have elevators; we have stairs. They say, 'Sir, there's a missile headed for us;' we say, 'WE ARE GOING TO DIE!' And we pee. I mean, did you ever see Captain Picard take a p---?

Finally, some good press!

I've seen a lot of stuff saying that Firefly was going to be good. Most of the negative stuff is not about the show itself, but about the way Fox is handling it.

True... but by good, I didn't entirely mean positive. It's in a widly read magazine, with a fairly long article... which is good.

Both press photos were kinda lame. They don't really convey at all what the show is about. And what's with Mal and that gold-flaked shirt?

Anyone know if this article appears in the hard copy of the magazine or just on the web? EW apparently thinks its unnecessary to warn people when their subscriptions have run out and I don't really want to pay the cover price unless it is. Oh and any pictures of Jayne?

Hi, welcome to the site. And, yes, the article does appear in the current issue of Entertainment Weekly.

I read the article today, and dude. Is it possible to fall completely in love with a show before you watch it? Cuz I did. And I trust Joss not to hurt me.

Oh, see I trust Joss to hurt me, but in a good way you know? But seriously, any pics of Jayne? Cause $3.95 is a lot of money when you're unemp... I mean, between jobs.
