I never know what the heck Joss is talking about. He sounds a lot like a guy I used to know with tourettes syndrome who often sat in the corner of the University of Chicago confectionary shop. But I ramble....

He's always cryptic, and witty, but as I've said before... reporters, more concerned about making a deadline than figuring out hidden meanings, usually butcher what he MEANT to say. They're not interested in figuring out what he means, they just want to meet their deadline, and that often ends up hurting our cause (As in the "We" article)...
I quit doing interviews after my words got twisted somewhat, unless they are written questions, and then I respond with short simple answers, that repeat the main point several times... to make SURE they get the main point (If nothing else).
If I could say ONE thing to Joss, it would be "When being interviewed about a topic that matters, don't be cryptic, cynical, witty, or "deep", just get the main point across clearly and concisely".
He seems to forget that they don't really care what he actually meant... they just see a blank sheet that needs words on it, which has to be laying on an editor's desk by a certain time, along with 5 other articles they have to turn in also.

Sci-fi gave him the usual song and dance about F*X owning the rights, but that they were showing the Series in the UK if he wanted to put advertising there...
Now, thats an interesting piece of info for those of us this side of the Atlantic.
Ps, be kind to the toads. They feel pain too.

I wish the idiot would just say things plain or be quiet.
And frankly if he is going to slaughter the rest of the cast I hope he never ever gets to film another frame in the firefly universe.

I have to agree, but like many "artsy" types, I have to agree with Bad2Verse that I think Joss may lose sight of the fact that reporters and others just see a blank sheet, or simply zero in on the words they want to hear and skip the rest.
Meat and taters, Joss, meat and taters.

Ha ha! That's funny. :)
But, let him speak a different language for all I care... he said something and it almost certainly relates to the 'verse... even if most of our 'verse-connection-making is speculation, it's hard to ignore "if they move, kill 'em". That is a quote from the 'verse (well, a play off of one). It has to be a hint, if you ask me.
And, every little bit helps; so long as we don't lose our hope...
I'm going to quote some Everwood here:
"Hope can be a dangerous thing..."
"I think hope is the one thing we shouldn’t be cautious about right now, Harold*. We should be practicing it like medicine."

I agree. Joss wouldn't quote from the verse in a hope giving sentence if he wasn't trying to tell us something.
I think the best part of being a browncoat and being among browncoats just might be the endless wells of hope and joy the lot of you possess. Makes me wanna go watch Out of Gas to speak the truth.

There's absolutely nothing in this post that hints at a Firefly return - except for what might be a reference to War Stories in "If it Moves, Kill It."
He's a writer by craft - were he actually wanting to hint at a revival or second movie, it would probably be easier to pick up than vaugely saying he "had other irons in the fire." The only thing that this little quote might mean is that he may have something non-definite in the works.
I hate to bring everyone down, but I am starting think we're reaching the point where it stops being lifesupport and turns to necrophilia. We are approaching a year out from the movie; almost all the actors, writers, directors, etc., have moved on to other projects. Unless new non-commentary content is announced by the end of the year...
...Well, then I'm starting to think we might be the only ones producing content.

But, necrophilia is fun! Mutter, mutter, mutter...
