Welcome to the 'verse Joekona! Click on the community link near the top of the screen and in that room you'll find a FIREFLYFANS Central link. There should be some helpful things in there and if you don't find what you're looking for jusk ask. The folks around here are pretty shiny about helping out.

I think you'll get used to the layout as you lurk,
recent threads do get buried, and lost pretty quickly, but you can find the Firefly episode discussions easily (because it has it's own forum)

Best to go to 'community' (top of page)
you'll see the top five current discussions

and below you'll see all the forums where other discussion can be found.

though it was enjoyable.

until I got used to the geometry of the

I have seen this site called hard to navigate before. I do not get it. I think it is the best board I have come across in years.

1 LOG-IN
2 CLICK ON "COMMUNITY" or something else that you fancy.
3 LOOK AT "LATEST POSTS" to see whats up
4 PICK WHAT YOU WANT...General, Talk story, Real World, Other Sci-fi, etc...

Once on a page the latest thread is on top.

You assume a lot, the mere mention that it is "the best board you have come across in years" is an indicator of advanced knowledge/experience!

This is my first experience with a "board" and for me it is hard to navigate. I have no perameters to guage what is easy or difficult in the use of a "board".

For me this is difficult.

I do graciously accept your help, and appreciate the effort you took to help me. I will try this next time I go into the site.

What the heck is a thread?

A little advice if I may:
While it is fun to identify with a character in a ficticious setting, you may be going a little over the top trying to become "Jaynelike" in your personna.
Give a try to being who you are, you just may be a more interesting and worthy character than that which you perceive.
