Question on Ariel

Just watched Ariel again last night. I've seen several times. A great episode.
But there is this one thing I try to figure out every time and can't. Maybe it is just such a small thing that there's nothing to it. But I get kind of obsessed that way.
So in one of the quick scenes where Jayne, Mal and Zoe are rehearshing their lines with Simon, Jayne is writing or drawing on some blue piece of paper when Simon asks him his line. Simon briefly looks at the paper and crumples it up.
My question: what was on the paper? Was Jayne just doodling?
Sorry if this has been addressed before. But thanks for any answers.

My guess is he was creating a cheat-sheet or some such, when he was supposed to memorize his lines. *g*

I agree with AgentRouka - it's so very Jayne like to try to cheat on his tests.

That's what I've gathered as well for that scene.
Speaking of Ariel, I have another question: Is there a moment in the ep where you can actually see Early's ship? I've heard rumors of it and haven't ever caught it.

I've never noticed Early's ship, but then that's the first I've heard that rumor, so I haven't been looking for it.
Now I have to watch it again tonight!

Early's ship is in Trash, when Saffron looks out the window while Mal is trying to get the Lassiter. Look towards the bottom right of the window. Early's ship flys to the left.

Well, Mal did cheat on th drug names and it figures Jayne would need "his lines" written down as many mistakes as he makes.
You can see Mal looking at the drug names as plain as day when the get into the pharmacy. I'd need the names as the sound like a foregn language to me.

actually I'd bet it's Adam's lines:) I know a lot of actors that do that in scenes with paper items:)
